Today is 13th March'22. Shokhi is not herself today. Every year this day and some more significant days break her mindset, she goes into her shell. Her heart and mind race through a gamut of emotions and memories.
It's Moni and Manas's anniversary.
Shokhi should be happy about the day but all her life she had watched Moni wait for Manas to come back to her with all his love and care.
But Manas hardly cared or rather it didn't matter to him anymore.
Moni had once told Shokhi that some initial years, this day had been happy and memorable for her. But gradually not only this but Moni's life took a turn which was never to be normal again. Shokhi used to watch Moni silently how she every year wished Manas and gifted him a part of her. But in return she only got rebuke, an insensitive behaviour.
Years passed by and Moni was inching towards her end but she kept hoping that Manas one day would come back to her.
Shokhi was amazed at Moni's patience and her love for Manas.
This made Shokhi cry too. She loved both Moni and Manas but...
These moments made and left a lasting impression on Shokhi. She realised it in her life later on.
Moni's calm beautiful face always surfaces in front of Shokhi's eyes. Manas's insensitive behaviour and constant abuse he gave to Moni creates a vaccum in Shokhi even now.
For Shokhi this day is full of pain loss and remorse. Moni is not there with her. Manas is suffering now and repentance has taken over him.
For Shokhi how hard she tries but is unable to forgive Manas.
As she sits by herself Shokhi feels a void inside her.
She feels today, why didn't Moni leave Manas.
The answer she gets is Moni's love for Manas. But Shokhi finds it difficult now at this juncture of life to accept it. She feels Moni was an emotional fool and wasted her life.
But then What is Shokhi doing with her life??
This fills her heart and soul with anger.
No, she can't go and meet Manas.
Or should she go??
