"Eveline! Eveline are you alright? What's he doing to you?!" came Theodore's worried shouts.

"If I were you, I'll be more concerned about my safety." hollered the Count as he bellowed a very ominous laughter.

Eveline watched in horror as Count Wilbur dragged the chain holding the cage, which sent it plunging down. A loud shriek escaped Eveline's throat, and at that moment, she knew she would rather die with her beloved Theodore.

Before she could stop herself, Eveline jumped out the window, grabbing hold of the chain. The cool wind swooshed around her, lapping at her hair and clothes.

"Eveline!" The Count screamed, as he watched in fascinated horror at what had just happened.
