The forgotten cherries
Uncle Iyad was a farmer that worked hard every day on his farm to see his trees fruits grown ripe, each time uncle Iyad reaped his cherries he shared them with the neighbors to feel giving, what a generous person uncle Iyad was!.
As usual every day uncle Iyad woke early in the morning tending to his farm to start his work, then back home in the evening; until a day came when the village needed a mayor, so the villagers seniors convened to suggest a fit person to be placed in charge of such task, until they at last thought of uncle Iyad of the kindness and generosity he had. The villagers came to him and told him what they convened about, uncle Iyad refused at the beginning, but he after they urged him accepted to take this burden.
A year passed then two, and uncle Iyad didn't appear since he went to claim for the villagers rights at the parliament, then by the beginning of the third year he came back in a special car, the car was parked in the public parking lot, when the villagers saw the car they thought it was the minister, then suddenly uncle Iyad got out from the car walking in a stalking gait like he didn't know anyone in the village, " I think uncle Iyad forgot the cherries and that he was a farmer" some villagers said to each other, uncle Iyad kept walking around looking at the villgers like he hadn't known them, a villager even wanted to call on him "uncle Iyad" then remembered that uncle Iyad was not uncle Iyad at that time; uncle Iyad was the mayor. People were all shut waiting what might the mayor tell them about their rights, but the mayor forgot about everything he went to the parliament for; until an elderly man came close to uncle Iyad with a basket full of cherries then said: "are you still ignoring us?,haven't you still remembered us?, you may remember the thing in this basket", then when uncle Iyad the mayor looked down at the basket he found the cherries he used to shared the villagers, then started sobbing in a smoulder, then kissed the elderly man's head and asked his forgiveness, then promised he wouldn't be too proud of a post again and decided to dedicate all his life for the village.
