True Friend
Yesterday I came to this town. And today I'm going to my new school. Because my father is transferred to this new town.
First day at new school, new environment, new teachers, new friends. I was sad because I left my old friends and nervous because I am afraid that how will my teachers be, how will my new friends be, will they accept me as their friend or not and also happy and excited because my new journey will starts from here.
I woke up early today, got ready for school so that I don't be late. And now I arrived at my new school. I was sitting in the front bench and waiting for new friends to come and sit with me. I saw everyone came but they didn't sit beside me. They were sitting with the other friends. I was so unhappy that day, thinking that it was my bad day. I sat alone in that bench all day.
After got off school, I came home, with a dull, sad and down face. My parents asked me about my new school
Mom- What happened dear? How's your new school? Did you make friends?
Me- School is so beautiful and good mom, and my teachers they are also so good but...
Dad- But... what dear? Did anyone say something bad to you.
Me- No.. Dad no one said to me anything. But they didn't talk with me neither they sit beside me, I tried to talk with them, but they didn't response. May be I'm not like them.
Mom- Don't worry dear. Soon you'll get a new friend. A friend who will stay with you forever.
Next day, I again reached my school. I was sitting in the same front bench. After some time, I noticed a boy came into the class, he was tall, blackish skin, one eye was blind, but had a beautiful smile on his face. He sat beside me. Keep his bag on the bench. He asked me
He- Hi, what's your name?
Me- Hi, I am Devika. What's your name?
He- My name is Shiva.
After that we talked so much. Teachers came and go, and between the classes we built a good friendship between us.
Days are going so happily in that way. We don't have too much friends. But we both are enough for each other.
We had lunch together, we used to play together. Everything is going so beautifully, until that day.
The day is a black day for both of us. Shiva, he lost his another eye, because something occurred in his another eye. Now he is totally blind. He is lamenting at the bedroom of the city hospital, he is just saying with his crying sounds, Am I able to see again everything. I have so much to see in this beautiful world. I don't want my two eyes, but atleast I want one of my eye back. I want to see my parents faces again,I want to see my pet animal again, I want to see the beautiful flowers of my garden again. I want to.... (crying in his louder voice)
I was so upset and crying with him. As he is my bestest friend. I witnessed that day, how destiny change fully one's life at a second. Though he had one eye, still he was able to see everything. But now he can't see anything. How can the person can't see anything now, who once can see beauty in everything, even the ugly thing is beautiful in his eye. I was wondering, how the God can do such injustice to one.
Then he get transferred to blind school. And again I was left alone.
Spring came and went, Summer came and went, Monsoon came and went , Autumn came and went, Winter also came and went.... the seasons came and went in that way ....
We passed our 10th examination. And got admitted to a College. I makes some friends in college. Then one day he (Shiva) again come infront of me.
I was so happy again on that day seeing him after so many years. We sit together again like before, talked about our previous year's. And after two years of junior college, we passed our 12th examination also. Then he went to his home town to study there and also I got admission in another college and again we left each other with teary eyed. But this time we had mobile phones that's why we can contact now whenever we want to.
Due to our different colleges and different subjects, now I didn't get that much time to talk. But we talked so many things over the phone whenever we get time.
And one day I get to know that Shiva got a job... His hardworks pays off now. And we also continued our friendship till now like before...
