Season 2
Chapter 9: A Slight Change in Plans
(Chase's POV)
"So b-basically you're telling me that we're going to break into 'Vanessa McCartney's house' because she's holding something against Ace Hawkins.
She had done this to manipulate Ace into dating our Lil. She's cooking up some sort of plan to humiliate Lil.
And we're going to dig some dirt on her to blackmail her so she'll be force to give up whatever she's holding against Ace.
But Dominic...dude, don't you think it's a crime to break into someone's house, especially in a bedroom of a girl!
What if we get caught, I don't want to be labelled a pervert. My father will ground me forever if he had to go police station because of me", I said gripping my head.
Oh dear God! What I got myself into?! I just came here to inform Dominic about our surprise schedule band practice since we have a free period after lunch.
Though I didn't expect to walk on him when he was just finishing up talking to someone on phone.
Dominic voice was so cold and calculating that I feel like I walk on some 'gang' meeting. I literally felt terrified for my life there. What if I hear something I shouldn't have supposed to?!
Dominic had snapped his head towards the door and found me standing nervously. He suddenly put down his guitar and stalk towards me like a predator.
Then he just tossed me in, shut the doors and locked them with an audible click. My body quickly went into flight/fight mode.
But Dominic just huff at my reaction and went back to his guitar. For a whole minute, the whole room was filled with silence except the sound of chords.
Dominic abruptly stop his fingers and ask me how much did I heard. It reminded me of the scene I watched in a thriller movie where the hero was interrogated by mafia boss.
Not a quiet good feeling, but I decided to be honest with my answer. Afterall I don't want to be subjected to something brutal.
I asked him if he's planning something suspicious but he bluntly told me it's none of my business.
But when I threaten him (a brave but a foolish move) to tell Lil about this scheme he grumbly told me about this plan to blackmail Vanessa McCartney, supposed queen of school!
And it's obvious since I accidentally find about this wonderful plan, I'll also have to assist in this. I know this plan is a little crazy, nop totally crazy!
(3rd POV)
Dominic eye Chase like he had finally lost his marbles. "Huh, but I don't think I need to repeat myself twice", he said in disdain tone.
Chase open his mouth but words dies in his throat.
Dominic rolls up his eyes. "And when did I said 'we', I'm doing this alone. You don't need to go out of your way to help me. It'll be too troublesome", Dominic said frowning.
Chase eyes widen out. "But Dominic! I can't let you do this alone buddy. It's too dangerous for you to do it by all yourself.
And Vanessa's house will be definitely surrounded by gaurds. I'm really touched that you want to help Ace with his situation but this isn't going to be easy", Chase said anxiously.
Dominic seems to be contemplating over it and let out a long sigh. Dominic stands up and stroll up to Chase .
"Whatever, have it your way. But don't blame me if anything goes wrong", Dominic snap and glares down at Chase.
Chase only beams up at him and gives him a thumbs-up. Dominic will definitely denied later if ask but his cheeks do held a light redness in them.
