Geeta Simplified
Namaste , Namaskaram , hello all, I wish a very happy Shri Krishna Janmashtami everyone.

Lord Krishna and Bhagavad Gita are very special and important in my life. When Lord Shiva became a father , a guru and a guide, Lord Krishna became a friend, a brother and a wonderful companion who has guided me through in my tough times and picked me up through his teachings whenever I slipped in this road of life. So I would like to share the important lessons from Bhagawad Geetha, in a simplified version which can help and guide us in today's world and life.

There are three main yoga in Bhagavad Gita, yoga is nothing but aligning self with the holy Trinity of mind, body and soul. They are,

1. Sankhya yoga
2. Karma yoga
3. Bhakti yoga

Geetha Sankhya yoga, the yoga of Soul:

We have all come here to reside and live for a certain period of time and one day we are bound to live. This human body in which we reside is made up of five elements which are air, water, fire, ether and space. One day or the other it is bound to merge back in to all of them. But we humans think that this mere physical body is permanent so do the illusionary reality we are seeing through our eyes and are bound and attached to it. Why have an attachment to that body when it's meant to die since its birth. Why fear from death, when it is bound to happen and is inevitable to run this cycle of world.

We are not this human body as we think and nor our thoughts that flow in our mind, nor our emotions swirling within then what exactly are we??

We are the eternal souls which are the fragments of the Almighty himself. Almighty is nothing but a large ocean of knowledge,an ocean of love ,an a ocean of compassion, this is what makes him the powerful, the eternal, the compassionate and the divine. We the souls are nothing but the drops that are a part of that divine Ocean. We are that soul which is divine, which is the true knowledge, which is peace and which is nothing but love and compassion.

Understand this now and let go of your attachments for this body, for this temporary world and your illusions.

Geetha Karma yoga, the yoga of Action:

Do you know why we feel like we are stuck in this world. This world, it's ways, the people, these problems everything feels like we are just trapped in here and we are finding many ways to come out of it or even think that we try to find new ways to improve our condition. Coming to the term called problem, have you ever thought what might be the cause of them.

Of course to some extent it is because of some people or some complex situations and things, but it is also as much as our own thoughts. Not exactly problems we tend to do everything for a purpose to gain something or the other, that's what is making our lives miserable.
As humans we are bound to perform actions,we need to perform our duties in whatever the fields we are in , family duties, relationships where there is an exchange of emotions and mutual love. This is Karma our duties which are actions.we should never sacrifice our actions. Karma is superior and Karma is our right. But we are all doing it wrong because we start expecting and would want to control its results. We are either so obsessed with the results of every action we are performing. We are so happy and joyful when the results meet our own expectations and when they dont we are so depressed and disappointed. We are conquered by that darkness of guilt and regrets and we then start blaming something or something and many a times God himself. That is what the problem with the way we are perceiving actions and we are bound to that Karma whenever we start to expect and greed for the result.Everytime we greed and expect for the results, which is either good or bad we are trapped in that cycle of Karma and to clear out that karma we are taking lives , shedding bodies, taking rebirth, and wandering all over the universe to clear off that cycle of Karma. Such is the effect of Karma and its cycle.

Then how do we can be free of that cycle. The simple thing is that give up on your greed for the results. Stop focusing on the results and outcomes in every action that you perform. Whenever you perform your duties without the greed of its fruits you are sure to be freed from that karma and is never bound in that cycle of Karma.

So stop focusing on the results, the result may be good or bad it is decided by the almighty alone.Give up for its greed and perform your duties well.

Geetha Bhakti yoga, the yoga of Devotion:

So far we have known that we are soul and we shouldn't have attachment towards it and then we have seen how our own greed for the results is trapping us in the cycle of Karma. We practice Sankhya yoga when we constantly remember that everything is temporary and we shouldn't have attachment towards anything. We practice Karma yoga when we don't greed for the results nor have any attachments for it and by just continue to perform our actions.

Now how do we constantly remember that we are a soul not this body, how do we let go of our greed for the outcomes... the simple answer to that is Bhakti , the devotion. Bhakti is the highest form of love which keeps this drop of soul from that ocean of almighty. Bhakti is that boat which helps us cross this ocean of life against the storms of temptations and the currents of attachments. Bhakti is the goal, the purpose, the mere essence of this life.

The ultimate goal of any soul is to merge with that great divine ocean of knowledge, love, compassion and ultimate consciousness. Bhakti alone can keep us moving in this ocean of life against any temptation and expectation. Those who surrender their everything to the almighty remembering that he is the fragment of the Divine himself and starts performing his duties leaving his greed for the outcomes ,the Almighty himself assures his life with peace, abundance and prosperity in this life and salvation there after.

Such is the power of that devotion, dedicate your life and surrender your thoughts, greed, attachments, expectations, problems, sadness, pain, emotions, temptations to the almighty those who do so, his soul is freed from every cycle of Karma and is destined to reach the ultimate ocean of Consciousness, the Almighty.

ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय ।

There is still a lot to Gita than these, but to the world today and the challenges we are facing this day , the above knowledge can help to guide us cross this ocean of Life.

May Lord Krishna bless you all with peace, happiness and abundance.
