Coping With Insomnia
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that can make it hard to fall asleep, hard to stay asleep, or cause you to wake up too early and not be able to get back to sleep. You may still feel tired when you wake up. Insomnia can sap not only your energy level and mood but also your health, work performance and quality of life.
There are certain fairly obvious steps you can take that you may or may not have already tried, such as:
- not drinking coffee after 4.00pm;
- avoiding or reducing your alcohol intake at night;
- not eating big meals at night;
- changing the temperature of the room;
- wearing ear-plugs if noise is a factor; sleeping
separately from your partner for a while if they keep
you awake;
- having a hot milky drink before you go to...
