In The Distance
In the distance I see you all ,
I see you, forgetting to even breath while you rush around to get an oxygen cylinder for your loved one,
I see you, rushing ambulances from one hospital to another, desperately trying to find a hospital bed atleast for this poor person ,
I see you, crying as you wait outside the hospital, seeing the patients die every minute,
I see you, sobbing when you realize you have your pockets stuff with money but the fight is with shortage of equipments and medicine,
I see you, trying to find your family member admist the loads of people on the hospital beds,
I see you, sitting inside those four walls, scared of another ring on your phone bringing in the loss of one more person,
I see you, praying to god everyday cause amidst this horrifying situation , only holding on to hopes is a way.
But I also see the people carrying out rallies and justifying their actions,
Playing petty politics and exposing people to dangers.
I don't want to get up and point fingers at these people out there,
but can I ask?
Corpses are filling up earth, but you are celebrating,
What? Panics? Helplessness ? Deaths?
Can you see what I see?
We stand up and point fingers at the people fighting for us on the front line,
Who have even given up sleeping to fight this deadly virus!
But can we stand and ask the servants of public why do we face this crisis,
Getting all the financial resources and support for a year, why isn't this fight yet in our capacities.
Why weren't essentialities given priority over statues, renaming places or filling their pockets,
Why the fight was not to bring people together or development?
But about the religion and gods- goddesses.
Were we even collectively so stupid that we exercise OUR Right to Vote to hand over our country in the hands of cruel and selfish people ?
We're so stupid to get involved in this mob fights on one side to realize that we might drown in water we are standing in.
Have we hit so low In sense of morality that greed can sell us in a minute,
and in another we get up and use all the power in our hand to misguide people through mass media.
I know what I said is unrelated jumbled and not in flow,
But ain't in it some truth and worthy to point?
No i am not some gyani,
Just everyday I see people wailing and the system miserably failing.
Yes it's the distress in me talking,
Cause it's not only the pandemic but also the huge voids in humanity we are fighting.
