At a very late evening, I was walking on the road with my dog, Blu. On both side of the road, big trees with their dark green leaves were hovering above as if they were ready to grab you quickly. Their leaves were falling from them and flying away through the sky and some them fell onto the ground. The wind caused the leaves making a brushing sound while the birds chirped their way flying. Slowly, the sun that was once golden yellow was now turning into a bloody red sunset. In which everything around me was getting dark and the atmosphere started to feel darker. The sound of the birds went silent including the daylight animals went to sleep. Now it was time for night time animals to rise and hunt on their preys. I hurried myself to reach home but Blu started running through the trees. “Blu! No!” I chased after him and shouted his names multiple times. While running, I could hear him barking, so I followed his sound but then I stopped. I froze as I stared at it. I thought to myself that why this place? Why does it have to be this one? I could still hear Blu’s barking inside that building. That building was once an old mental asylum that were full of psychopaths, sociopaths, crazy persons with bizarre mental disorders. Even it was said that some serial killers were actually admitted there. But only one escaped. Jacob Cornelius. He was the most famous serial killer in our town in the 80s. If Jacob Cornelius found you walking in the middle of the night, he would kill you until you gave him a reason why were you walking at this time. But if you were walking exactly at 3am, definitely he would kill you. Reason? Ever since he was inspired by the histories of witches, demons, spirits, dangerous cults, sinister and horrifying events. He decided to banish them from the world. By killing innocent people whom he thought they were evil. Jacob would throw large amount of salt at the victim and then stab in the chest three times and pull the heart out and rip it in half. He though he was ‘cleansing’ the victim.
