RELIGION
Religion as derives from three Latin word which are "Ligare" which means to bind, "Relegere" which means to link and lastly "Religio" which means relationship.
From combination of the Latin meaning, we can establish a definition of religion which means a relationship created amongst two persons, that is the human and divine person.
There are some philosophers that defined religion from their own point of view
1) Emile Durkheim - Religion is a unified system of beliefs and practices relative to sacred things, that is to say, to things set apart and forbidden, belief and practices which unite into a single moral community called a church, all those who adhere to them.
2)St Thomas Aquinas - Religion is a virtue which prompts man to render to God the worship and reverence that is right.
