Clark grew up in a fundamental baptist church. His dad was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher. His mom served as a church clerk and taught Sunday school. They had always been active In church. Clark made a profession of faith in the lord at age five. He got serious about the things of the lord in his teen years. He volunteered at a baptist children's camp. He was active in open Air evangelism. He helped out in a youth group at the church.
He decided to attend community college. He worked for his uncle's construction company. He taught Sunday school. He did some preaching. He was well-liked in the church. He was asked to be a Sunday school superintendent. He was kept busy.
He wanted it to be married. There were not a lot of young women his age who were single who attended his church. There were not any single ladies at college he could date. He was not sure how to go about it. He even considered going to a nearby independent fundamental baptist church to find an eligible single. Then something changed.
A new family started to come. A mom and dad and several children. This included an 18-year-old named Jenny. Clark saw her and he thought "maybe this is the one."
