i caught her eyes drowning in a daydream, so i swerved my perspective to know how deep her mind was going and asked her,
 
"what if i suddenly disappear?"
 
"what if my name stops popping up on your notifications tab? will you search for me or privately message me to check if i'm alright?
 
"will the thought of me linger in your busy mind?"
 
but then you stared at me for eight seconds, brushed my charcoal hair in the most delicate way, and asked me back,
 
"what if i stayed till your last breath? What if i loved you till your bones were collected in a jar?
 
and you kissed me between my ears.
