A Saturday morning. One of the first sunny spring days. He bumps into her on his way into town.
"Hello."
"Oh hello!"
"Long time no see. How are you?" She smiles.
"Good, and you?" He might as well say: "It's just about right. And you?" Or maybe: "Today is my lucky day!"
Every time he goes to sleep he dreams a variant. And it's been like this for quite a long time now. Every night a fictional sequence of events as it could happen if he happened to meet her. And it always comes down to a kiss.
A variant every night. Sometimes two.
"We need to have coffee together sometime." Or better: "Would you like a coffee?" Or maybe: "I invite you!"
So it doesn't happen that he does not want to go to sleep in the evening. Because he always meets her in every variant. And finally, always a kiss.
Sometimes the dream paths lead in unrealistic directions. Then he quickly jumps back a few steps and continues at a suitable point.
Different dream paths that lead to different types of kisses. Last night, for example, the kiss tasted like cappuccino. The night before there has been the scent of her perfume.
A Saturday morning in spring. And a bump.
"Hello!"
Her smile.
