Abby Pov.
As I strolled into my estate after an uneventful day, my mind was elsewhere. Well not really like that, but my mind was filled with imaginations. I love imagining the scenarios and lives of many people, and that was what I doing while walking home.
"Abby", I someone whispered behind me, the whisper was so faint that my mind didn't register anything. I continued daydreaming until I heard the voice again.
"Abby", the person yelled, I jolted back to reality with a frown,I was really annoyed that someone interrupted my thoughts.
'OMG, it's my crush Jason', I said in my mind. All the anger and annoyance that I felt had already evaporated. Unfortunately I tried to smile but my face was flat, I meant my face didn't convey any feelings.
"Hi", he said adding an angelic smile to his face.
'Ah, I'm no more crushing on him, I'm now in love with him'.
"Hello", I said, my tone was cold and unwelcoming. Well, I'm antisocial. I really feel uncomfortable with people, Jason is one of the exception though, cuz I'm enjoying his company right now.
"I'm Jason, nice to meet you", he said while stretching out his hand for a handshake.
As much as I'd love to shake hands with him, I couldn't help but to be cautious. There was no reason for me not to shake hands with him but I didn't anyway.
"Abby", I answered him, my voice wasn't that cold as before there was a bit of warmth in my voice as I introduced myself.
There wasn't actually any need for introduction as he knew my name and I also knew his name, but we did it anyway.
"Can we be friends", he said. Those words actually hit me like a bombshell. I was speechless, I didn't expect that request actually and now I felt butterflies in my tummy as I blushed so hard that I couldn't hide it.
Now I feel embarrassed as he sees me blushing like a fool. I opened my mouth to say something but I didn't know what to say.
"I...uhh...", that was only what I managed to say.
And this is how I always embarrass myself when I'm asked this simple question.
