chapter 4
Victoria spent the whole day in her room. She was lost in thought the whole time, and for the rest of the time she wrote.
Victoria was a poet.
One would imagine she had a documentary of all the events that transpired the past few years, its surprising how she managed to cope for so long.
So pathetic.
Victoria rolled her eyes as a thought came to her mind. she tightened her grip on her pen as she began to write tears fell down her reddened eyes.
Suddenly a noise came from the window it was him, the boy from before .
"Didn't you get the message?" Victoria said her eyes lit up in anger.
"Hey, calm down" he said not affected by her deep stare. "I just wanted to check if you were alright" he said concerned.
What are you,My mom? Stay away she said looking away from the window.
"Cole....that's my name" he said as he said fixedly at her.
"Who cares?" Victoria said as she wrote something down.
"Get to the point why are you here, I mean who are you?"
"Cole,Cole Darwin I live opposite you just wanted to say hi" he said as he looked away.
Victoria felt awful, poor guy probably wanted to socialize and she......with her frustrated behaviour gave him a hard time.
"Victoria Dell" she said in a polite tone.
"Sorry for being so rude" she said
So.... What are you writing he said staring at her poem book.
"Nothing just a few meaningless stuff" she said as she closed the book stood up and opened the window.
"Finally" he said with relief "any one who saw me outside probably thought I was a thief".
"A thief?," Victoria said "and what would you be trying to steal?"
"Your time." He said staring fixedly at her.
She blushed and let a faint smile spread on the surface of her lips.
"Finally!" He said.
"Huh?"Victoria said.
"I got to see a smile on your face" she blushed again.
"So.... You live opposite me," Victoria said
"yeah we moved in last week." Cole said .
Victoria recalled her mom telling her about their neighbours. It hurt her that her mom knew more about others than her.
"Any thing wrong?"he said as he noticed her smile had faded away.
"Nothing, its family stuff " said as a frown surfaced on her lips.
"I have to go" he said as he looked at his watch "its getting late"
"Yeah" Victoria said.
"So... Your number?"
"I'm not an easy catch Cole, you'll more than luck and sweet talks." She said as she closed the window.
A smile surfaced her lips her first smile in the past 72 hours.
