She smiled with quiet determination,
The journey was tough but so was she...

It had been a few years now since she was last in the 'dark days.' A time where nothing made sense and everything hurt, yet she was numb to it all. The pain wasn't generous nor forgiving, but it was kind enough to wait until she could feel again to come back into her life. She couldn't tell what was harder; the dark days or the years that followed. Despite the pain, the warrior within made a reappearance.

She set her cup of coffee down on the coffee table and opened up her laptop. On this laptop she worked from home doing data entry, she bought kitty food from her favorite company, streamed her favorite shows, and wrote many many stories and poems. This morning session with her laptop she was doing the latter. She opened up a fresh document and began writing key points on her upcoming story. She had wrote many poems and stories regarding the dark days, but she decided that this time it was gonna be about her and her journey. She spent about ten minutes writing down her ideas before she sat back and reread what she wrote. A smile crept back onto her face.

Her smile grew as she realized this: a new era had begun.
