FALLEN DEEP

The night sky was brighter than usual and and the clouds were visible as it was during the day. I stood up to adjust my blanket around my self to cover the open parts of my body that was out in the cold.
After a while of star gazing I layed on the bed to sleep when I heard saw lighting flash. I rise quickly to the window to see why I saw that because there was no rain. I pulled the window open and stuck my arm out to feel the rain but all my skin felt was the frozen wind waiting for my body out of the blanket tightly wrapped around my body.
As I was about to turn back and move back to bed I saw strings of light flash as one body. They gathered to form a ring and in wave of light I saw people floating.
While trying to understand and still in shock, I heard my mom call.
“Tobi, are you are wake”
I ran to the bed switched the lights off and layer still on the bed.
A knock sounded on my door and my mom walked in. I heard her move towards my bed and sat down.
For a while she said nothing till she sighed and rubbed her hands on my forehead lovingly.
“ There are some sacrifices which we can’t afford, but do know that you are more than you can ever imagine. Nothing can limit you but ….” She pat my head and gave me a kiss.
With that, she stood up and left. I waited till her foot steps faded before going back to the window.
As I looked down I saw my mum with a golden stick perfectly round with carving at an end. For where I was I could see it glitter with each step she took till she herself was super bright, yet I could she her clearly and the others up above. Wings burst from and back and she was in the sky with the other set of people.
Thoughts began racing through my mind. It seemed like there was a round table meeting in my head about the whole situation.
‘was that my mother…..or is she someone else……she flew…. And don’t forget she glowed…… who were those people….’
I looked to the window and the entire body of people started to moved forward. For no reason I changed my clothes wore a long tight black jeans and a deep blue round neck polo with gray hood. I ran out of the house and started chasing the lights.
