An extract from Chapter 1 wild cat part2 keeping a leopard from the book grandfather and me
Maintaining a wild cat

"The leopard is getting more dangerous" said my grandfather . After we tied him to a strong tree, it was growling as if it will gobble us the moment we open him.Grandfather and I offered him meat which we bought from a nearby village shop of meat. The leopard quite liked the taste and would stay in hope for more . In rains the leopard would stay in our dusty store room , which didn't like Mucha days would growl loud to come out. I and grandfather decided to start a business on the leopard. Anyone who wants see a leopard would have to give us 50 rupees. The leopard growled hearing us saying this as if he didn't want that to happen. So soon our business began . The leopard was sawn by hundreds of people and a small squirrel which would laugh at the leopard and would take the fun before the leopard gets out of the rope one day. "45 visitors" spoke out my grandfather as he closed the entry for the day. "We have earned a lot grandfather" I spoke out happily as I counted the notes . The next when I went to school I told my freinds all about it . " You know , I have a leopard as a pet !" I said to my friends in the break period . "We would love to see it !" said on of my friend Tom. I agreed to show him but he had to pay 50 rupees to me . So as planned I and my friendds went to our home to see the leopard which growel at our entry. "Ah ! Ah! , the leopard is going to eat us " the squealed as they ran away. They all frollicked all along the road but as soon as they heard the growl of fhe leopard they scooted out . I guffawed as my grandfather came out to give the leoard food. "What happened ?, why are they laughing?"asked grandfather before he gave the leopard its food. I told grandfather all about it and after hearing it he giggled as he looked at the leopard eating its meal in a enjoyed manner . Like this the days went on but who knew what a great danger was awaiting us ...
