Maya folded her feet so that she could cover them properly and reduce the cold. The ground was so cold and there wasn't anything to covering it down.

She continued humming the song she heard before as she tried to remember the lyrics it had.
In her imagination,there was a very large audience listening to her voice and applauding.
People from all over,near or far had all attended.
She hoped there was someone else to listen to her sing except her father and Mikael. The two were her biggest and only fans as per now.

Sadly, upon opening her eyes,the walls seemed to be her only companion.

"You are still making trouble, have I been too lenient with my punishment," her mother's loud angry voice sounded.

"Sorry mother," she apologized immediately to prevent further punishment.

It was still unclear to her why her mother liked punishing her. Even at the smallest offense done,she was either beaten or locked up in the store room.

This always made her feel sad because the treatment her sister received was very different.
