The Transformation
#WritcoStoryPrompt42
She chose her cleanest piece of clothing to wear. It was a festival afterall and she wanted to celebrate with everyone else. When she stepped into the street a speeding car drove by splashing dirty water on her.

A tear fell down her cheek. The poor had no right to celebrate. Life is a continuous harsh examination for many, the tests are never ending. She decided to go back and end up crying in her room and miss the most awaited festival, when the car, that soiled her clothes, reversed back and stopped next to her.

She was angry and surprised at the same time. The window glass went down and a pleasant faced gentleman looked at her from his expensive shades and said, "I am really sorry, my driver was in a hurry. Please let me make up to your loss. I can assist you to any shop on the way, where you could buy a new dress and also get cleaned up." She hesitated for a moment, going somewhere with a stranger, might make her vulnerable to something wrong. Judging her apprehension, the gentleman spoke again,"Please don't hesitate, my daughter will help you in shopping." She peered inside the car and saw a teenager waving at her frantically. She sat inside and was soon dropped off at a boutique with the girl.

"Oh my my! It's the makeover time my gal!!! Hey Reeta, pls dress this madam with your finest attire and accessories. We owe her a big time."

In few minutes, she was transformed into a gorgeous woman from a simple lady. She couldn't believe her eyes, she looked so pretty. She said thank you to the teenager with a hug and a peck on her cheek. The driver was waiting for them outside, when they got out. The driver was shocked as hell to see the transformation. His open mouth was shut by the giggling gal and they left for the festival together.

"Life isn't a bed of thorns all the time." thought she and started chatting with her new found friend.
