Wishing Well
Walking up you wouldn't think much of it. Just a usual well, nothing spectacular or anything like that. The well was built about twenty years ago. The wood is old and always looks wet. Except in the heat of the summer, it looks as if it could snap. But even with this old wood holding up a barely shingled roof. I realize the rocks, that protect you from the hole. Are still standing to this day. As if they were just placed. A little weathering here and there. You can tell that could've been there before they were used. All I know is it is where I get water for my shop.

Didn't think much of it. A customer came in and asked if they could throw change down my well. I asked why they told me there are 'wishing wells.' Not sure what they meant. I told them I use that water. Don't want to loose change in it. They said okay and went about their business. When they left, I took a try for myself.

I took a quarter from my pocket and thought to myself, "this means very little to me. Why would this bring forth my greatest wish?" I tossed in the quarter with one good flick. Just as it spun in the air, I made my wish. Before it hit the water I had finished my wish. I heard a splash and a "ka-lump." It seemed to echo louder and louder. As if it were coming up from very deep.

I felt a strange sensation but brushed it off. I'm sure it was nothing. I wonder if it's true or not? How will I know? The next thing that happened, I got lots of customers. They were here and there. Left and right. Back and forth. It didn't seem to end. Be careful of what you wish for. It can be more than what you asked for.

The moral of the story is; wishes don't make dreams come true. I don't mean to sound poetic, but that's up to you. Dreams are hard to achieve, but wishes are harder to come by than we believe. Remember to have focus, don't lose track that the success will relieve.
