chapter 3: A PhD in seduction
Rider Foxx's pov.

I did not expect this and it seems that luck is just my thing these days.

Nikki is such a boo for getting me Vinny's number.

I smiled and blushed at the same time.

My heart started to race and I didn't want to scare her off and needed a new perspective.

I decided to not flirt at all and just greeted her casually to earn her trust.

To my shock a fast response came back and it was like a shock wave.

I felt so uplifted and motivated to live and exist and my cheeks hurt from smiling.

I decided not to waste time and ask if we can meet up and promised to be respectful and give her personal space.

I expected to be rejected since she met me at her boss's place.

And I did sleep with her boss and this wouldn't bother me normally.

But with her I wanted her to say yes so I can prove that I'm a perfect partner material.

The message came through my phone the same time my boss worked in my office.

What horrible timing.

The boss went on and on about the case I was doing.

I was paying attention but when my boss looked out the window giving me time to checked my phone.

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhsssssssssss!!!!!!!!"

I screamed,
jumping up and down forgetting where I am.

"Detective Foxx! what's gotten you so excited?"

Asked the Chief all sorts of confused,

at why I was happy when we have a dangerous criminal targeting the police.

"I found a way to bait the criminal. I need tomorrow off to work it out and see what will work best."

I tried to get as much from the situation.

"Absolutely not! You came from a vacation-"

My boss rambled on and I stopped paying attention looking at my phone,
as if it had a password to a diamond vault.

It sure as hell felt like it because Vinny agreed to meet up with me.

I felt like throwing the dockets on the floor along my my laptop and pens,
to get on my desk and dance on it.

Nothing can ruin my day, impossible!
