On the other side of the television screen Harvey Thorne sat with his eyes glued to the screen. It was just as he had predicted when he was a boy.
It was the summer of '57 when he had looked into his telescope and saw the object hurtling toward the Earth. "Mom," he yelled out. "There is an asteroid heading for the Earth, when it hits it will wipe out all of mankind." "That's nice, dear. Make sure you get your homework done before it hits."
Who knew that in the year 2020 along with all of the other struggles our world was being subjected to that the end of life was not going to come by Covid-19 or social unrest, no, it was going to end with a big bang.
Literally. For that was the sound that the genius minds of this time were calling the sound to be heard upon impact of this intruder.
The world watched. The world waited. Would this be the end? Or was there a top-secret government bailout plan for rogue asteroids headed towards the Earth?
One news agengy was asking the question: Should we have the election early, or wait until after the asteroid strike?
NEWS UPDATE: This station has urgent news concerning the imminent asteroid strike.
It was reported earlier that there was a planet killing asteroid heading toward the Earth.
New sources that will remain unnamed have reported this to be fake news.
We repeat, the story that was reported earlier is fake news.
There is no asteroid approaching any where near the Earth. There never has been any danger from the starry skies above.
