Write a short story on what you should do if there was a widespread power outage and no one knew when it would be restored.
The Endless Night
It became a peaceful summer time evening whilst the whole town of Minchinabad became plunged into darkness because of a sudden strength outage. Initially, everyone assumed it become simply another habitual blackout. But as hours turned into days, uncertainty and tension spread like wildfire. No one knew when or if the energy would return.
Ahsan, a 20-12 months-vintage pupil, sat in his dimly lit room with his younger sister, Hira. The flickering candlelight cast eerie shadows at the partitions. Hira, clutching her preferred toy, looked at Ahsan with worried eyes.
“Brother, what if the power never comes returned?” she whispered.
Ahsan, even though similarly aggravating, mustered a reassuring tone. “Don’t fear, Hira. We’ll figure something out. We continually do.”
But deep down, he knew this wasn’t an normal situation.
