CHAPTER 5: WHEN TOWERS CRUMBLE
"What the heck man? Stay away from her Lanny, you still the hell away from her."
Yeah, I know you are like "what in the world is going on?" To be honest, that was exactly what I was thinking at that moment. I told you about my best friend Lanre.
Well in my joy and excitement, I decided to share the news with my best bud, Lanre. Lanre was just oozing happiness at the news of my new relationship. He wanted to meet her right away so I set up a meeting. I told Adelaide that I wanted her to meet someone very special and dear to me and of course she agreed. But I soon found out the hard way that sometimes, we might be done with our past but our past might not be done with us. Turns out Lanre was the last guy that ghosted on Adelaide and I suddenly realized what he meant by "rectify". He shattered Adelaide and I'd be damned if I let him do it again. The meeting turned out reaaally awkward for reasons I just couldn't phantom. No one was answering my questions, but one thing I was sure of, was that they knew each other somehow and it must not have been pleasant. Now this is the delicious part. Turns out Lanre wanted her back even knowing she was with me now, funny how someone with such a "good heart" can turn in an instant. Well guess you don't know someone...
