Haunted places
As the camera fades in, we see a dark alleyway, lit only by a dim lamp post. We hear a voiceover, the words from our protagonist's mind. We see him, a broken man, sitting with his back against a wall, smoking a cigarette.
The camera zooms in, and we see the pain etched in his eyes. He's lost someone dear, and it's evident that he's in a dark place. As we look around, we see the empty alleyway, the thick silence continuing to bring him down.
The narrative shifts, and we are now at a funeral. We see our protagonist, standing in front of a grave, clutching a photograph, the same person he was moaning in solitude about.
We realize that the person he lost was his wife, and we watch as he recollects memories of their time together.
As the funeral ends, our protagonist is approached by a stranger. The stranger introduces himself, and we learn that he was her ex-lover, one who left her heartbroken.
As the movie progresses, we observe how our protagonist navigates his life, trying to find a way to cope with his loss. He becomes obsessed with her ex-lover, believing that he is responsible for her death.
The narrative slowly takes a twisted turn, and we see that our protagonist's mind is playing tricks on him. His wife was suffering from a terminal illness, and he couldn't take the fact that he couldn't save her, leading him to create alternate realities in his mind.
The ex-lover tries to reach out to him, but our protagonist, blinded by his pain, refuses to listen.
Finally, as the movie approaches its climax, the ex-lover manages to make him come to terms with the truth, ultimately leading to his redemption and a sense of closure he couldn't find before.
The screen fades to black, and as the credits roll, we see our protagonist walking away, a glimmer in his eye, embarking on a new journey, ready to embrace the challenges of life.
