CHAPTER ONE


Oh my God I have just four hours before my shift starts
Liza are you home
yessss Liza shouting from the kitchen
Hey are you not supposed to be at the library your final exams are coming up and I won't want you to fail
Sis relax I just came home to prepare food for you cause I know you won't remember to, Liza said
That is not an excuse I work at countless jobs just to raise money for your school just so that you can become successful and get us out of this shit hole we call house
I have been working since Mom and Dad died I even had to quit school to support your education so please just pass I won't like it if you fail Jane said with her eyes getting moist
Hey sis I won't fail I promise I will just make your lunch then I will head back to the library Liza said ...Beep Beep Beep..

why are you not answering your phone Jane asked
oh it's just my friend probably wondering why am not at the library Liza lied
well just answer and tell her you will be there soon ..or is it a he ?
Do you have a boyfriend Jane asked curiously
mmmmm I don't lied Liza you better don't said Jane why can't I asked Liza

Well you can't because a boyfriend at this time in your life is just a distraction who wants not more than to enter your pants and if you are not careful and smart enough he could even put you in a family way Jane answered
I don't have time for this am going to sleep she said as she headed to her room I will eat when I wake up so leave it on the table and look the door when you leave Jane said before she closed the door

Liza's phone rang again
Liza looked at her phone then answered the phone
Where is my money said the person at the other end of the phone
Mr please give me more time I just can't get hold of my boyfriend,
that's what you have been saying do you think am a fool shouted the person at the other end of the phone
Am really saying the truth Liza said trying to keep her voice as low as possible trying not to wake her sister who was probably fast asleep well am giving you a week grace and onces that is over I will be coming for my money

Liza panicked she has really been trying to reach her boyfriend for some weeks now could it be that he lied to her
Liza felt helpless and frustrated what was she going to do she thought as she countinously tried to dial his number

she has been hearing the same thing has she been duped?



AT THE ADDISON'S MANSION


Master it's you mother Mr moon the butler said as he handed the phone to Aaron
She said she wants to talk to you

Aaron said after collecting the phone from Mr moon, He could feel the coolness in his voice as he spoke to his mother, all rumors about him were true he really has no emotion
Mr moon thought as he left the room to give his master some privacy
son it's me said Aaron's mom
I just called to let you know that your father and I will be coming back in two weeks time
And grace will be coming with us it's high time you two got married right ?

I won't marry her Aaron said coodly but sharply then ended the call
He smirked so she finally convinced his mom to persuade him to marry her
he will never marry her not after what she did to him five years ago
he still hasn't recovered from the heart break
Mom want me to marry grace he said to Mr moon who just walked in after the phone call aware of who grace is and his relationship with grace Mr moon didn't know how to respond so he just said yes master
Aaron continued I promised mom I will get married before I turn 28 or she can find a bride for me afterwards now my birthday is in a week time and I still haven't found a woman to marry
she just called to tell me that grace is the woman she found for me
Mr moon felt he was in an awkward situation he knew how grace broke Aaron's heart she turn him down after having dated for 5 years saying she wasn't ready to get married but a week later traveled with a man who they said to be her
fiance when he confronted her
She only said she didn't want to marry a poor man and didn't want to suffer
But Aaron wasn't poor his family's business was a step from being bankrupt and things were hard then
But they got through it but weren't as rich as they used to be
What do you think I should do Aaron asked Mr moon who felt embraced he had been lost in his thoughts that he didn't hear what he had said

well in this situation master the only way out is to find a bride before your birthday or come plain with your mother and Tell her you won't marry grace you don't know my mom said Aaron
but come to think of it option one is the only way out said Mr moon
I don't want to get married said Aaron coldly then he stood and left to his room

Mr moon knew that Aaron would not want to marry grace not after she betrayed him but it was obvious that he still loves her and haven't gotten over her he thought as he went back to his duty

IN Aaron's room

He layed on the bed finding it had to sleep because when ever he closed his eyes he saw her face he will never forgive her
He couldn't help but remember what happened 5years again when his family's business had just survived a big shake and he proposed to her with all confidence because they have been dating for 5years but she flatly turned him done with the excuse that she was too young to get married but then why was she engaged a week later
Did she become old enough for marriage within one week
then when he confronted her she said she didn't want to marry a poor man and didn't want to suffer
then he worked day and night to make sure that he becomes successful so that she could come back he barely slept at night he couldn't stop thinking about her she broke him he will never forgive her but she came crawling back when he became successful he was every woman's dream now but he doesn't want to have anything to do with her again so she told her he had stopped loving her but that was not true
she turned him into a monster that only
know how to work and love only work
I will never forgive her he said before he slept off
