De Vera's POV:

"Hello, I'm Jarred." He said. He is our new member, actually it was Hans who introduced him to us.

"Nice to meet you bro, by the way I'm James Dylan. Just Jaydi for short." Our secretary said. For sure you are curious why there is a secretary haha.

Wait a minute...before everything, let me introduce myself. I'm Calvin, of course the one and only Mr. President. We call our group the "NSG Club" which means Not So Genius Club. Why is there a Club? That's it, it's because there is a President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, P.I.O and also a Peace officer. Maybe you're wondering why it is not complete probably just like our brain haha. We probably don't have a muse or an escort because my circle of friends is all boys, and they both don't have girlfriends. Oopssss sorry I slipped. Haha kidding, it's just a joke,  everyone else are maybe already into relationship, maybe I'm the only one who doesn't have it. Our new member (Jarred) is the one who will be the peace officer. We're missing one, so it's good that Hans found someone. Okay, now that everything is clear, let's get back to the story.

"Bro, welcome to our group. Now we're complete. You are now our P.O. By the way I'm Calvin, Just call me Pres C." I said to him.

"I'm Ryle, the Vice President. If you're curious about something just come to me anytime. I can surely help you." He said. And Jarred smiled at him.

"I'm the Auditor, My name is Zed. You can call me Dez or Zed anything you want." He said. This person's brain seems to be upside down. I really don't know if he's just joking or messing around, I think almost all of us are just controlling ourselves not to laugh so hard.

"Don't pay attention to that one, he didn't eat his breakfast today,  I'm Jonas, the P.I.O."

"Nice to meet you all, I hope we all get along." Jarred told us.

"You don't have to be so formal from now on bro, remember you're already among us." Hans said this. Haha before I forget, he is our Treasurer.

End of flash back...

It was 3 years ago since our group was formed. It was about 2 weeks later before we met Jarred. Until now, we are still complete and still continuing our best friend goals together. We were now at the age of 24. Because we have the same year. By the way it's Jarred's birthday today which is August 15, 2022. He is the youngest among us just by months. And since it's his birthday, we have already planned to surprise him. Jonas already knew what he was going to do. Because today is his arrival from Australia, we planned 2 days ago that he should contact Jarred to pick him up at the Airport and then go straight to their resort. And that's how the plan worked. We waited for them to arrive at the resort. When they arrived, I immediately saw the surprise on Jarred's face. He was obviously really surprised. Of course, it's the birthday of our only P.O, so we really prepared everything. Of course that's our youngest.

"I did enjoy bro, thank you for making efforts despite your busy days. So far this is the best birthday ever!" He thanked us.

"Of course bro, we can't be absent from your birthday, besides, we were all complete on each of our birthdays." Ryle said.

"Yeah cause we shouldn't miss even a single one." Jaydi replied and we all agreed.

'After the fun, we immediately went home.

The next day... I woke up early even though I didn't have work today. I still want to go to my company to take care of my remaining work. I thought that it's better to be advance, so that next month I would be free from everything. For sure I don't have to think too much anymore. Because next month hangout with the boys will probably begin again.

After 2 weeks, it's a new month again.

"It's September, when do you plan to see each other again? Do they have any plans?" Jaydi said on the other line.

"When they are free bro. You know Ryle is still busy with his work right now plus Raine has come home from the States. It will be difficult for us to invite him right away when his fiancee is there. You know Ryle is a very green flag, right?" I just laughed and so did Jaydi on the other line.

It's already 6:35 pm when I was about to go home but I met Jarred outside the building.

"Oh Jarred? Are you going somewhere today?" I asked him.

"Ah yes bro, I did buy some things. I just went shopping at the mall, it was just a little because I was also saving. Ah by the way, when are we going out? Have you made any plans? He said.

"Hey, if it's just about the plan, I don't need that. I'm just waiting for you and the others. When are you free?" I asked him again.

"Anytime bro you can count on me. Just don't make it to the 4th week of this month. I think I'll be busy too." He said.

"Oh okay, I'll try to figure out when the time is and when they'll be free. Just talk to us at our group chat." I said and he nodded. "Are you going somewhere else?"

"Yup, I'm going somewhere before going home." He said.

"Okay bro, take care. I'll go first." I said goodbye to him as he started to walk away.

"Alright bro, be careful too." He shouted. He smiled and waved at me.

When I got home, I was immediately greeted by Cydelle, my 13 year old sister.

"Brother, welcome back!" She screamed as if it seems like I've been gone for a long time. "Brother I chatted you to buy me apples so where is it? Don't tell me you didn't buy apples???" She couldn't wait any longer.

"Yes, nothing really, because I didn't read your chat. Sorry." I said that made her frown.

"Oh really? It's okay as long as you'll buy it for me tomorrow, please. The apples in the fridge as well as the ones on the table are gone." She said calmly but obviously disappointed.

"Just kidding, I really bought it. It's in the car, go and take it. It's good that I saw your chat right away and when I passed someone selling fruits, I bought some." I told her, that made her very happy. Simple things make her happy so I'm trying to give all what she wants.

"I love you brother, you're the best!" And she quickly went out to get the Apples from my car that I actually left there on purpose.

After dinner, I immediately went to my room to rest. I wasn't sleepy yet so I used my phone first. It's good that everyone are also online. We talked about when to set the exact date of our bondings together. And that's it, we decided when will it be. It will be this Saturday, on September 10. Okay then, it's fixed. I went to sleep around 10 pm, because they still wanted to have a zoom meeting haha just kidding, just to watch a new horror movie that is trending right now. And then instead of horror it became a comedy. They even thought of wearing costumes, but instead of being scared, we laughed at their faces. Since they will be scared, they make a way to escape. They made everything funny and fun that we couldn't even focus on watching, we all laughed at the scenes instead of being scared.

I was really having fun when I was with them. Our friendship is very solid and they never let me down. I am very thankful to have them.

A few days later...

It's September 10 and we will see each other later around 1 pm. But before everything, of course, I asked mom and Cydelle's permission first so that they know that I will be late coming home again tonight. It was around 10 am when I met Jarred at the mall, he was shopping for groceries.

"Hey bro, you're here too, what if we go to the mansion together?" I suggested to him because he is already here. By the way we are going to Ryle's mansion, he's really super reliable, he always says that he will take care of it. But the truth is, that's just his excuse because for sure his parents won't allow him if he's going too far. And of course knowing that his girlfriend just arrived.

"Maybe you should go first, I have somewhere else to go. Be careful driving." He replied, and he was obviously in a hurry too. That's right, it's about an hour's drive, it's a bit far.

"Ah okay, be careful too." I said.

Of course, because I'm really the early bird, as usual, the President is very responsible. Just kidding, you're embarrassing Calvin. After I went shopping at the mall and bought snacks and anything else, I decided to go straight to the mansion and maybe I'll eat lunch there. My face is thick, isn't it?! Haha I'm sorry...

And that's it, after a year of traveling, I finally arrived. Time check! 11:27 a.m.

"Wow I'm really impressed with you Pres, you are always really early." He said sarcastically.

"I'm probably your one and only responsible President." I jokingly told him.

"Yes, of course." He said as he keep up with my joke, narrowing his eyes at the same time.

And because Ryle is so kind, he immediately fed me. He's like an angel who fell from the sky.

It's 1 pm but Jonas, Hans, and Jarred still haven't arrived. Jaydi arrived at 12:30 pm. While Zed arrived exactly at 1 pm. It's obvious that his mind is upside down, he actually waited until 1 pm before entering the gate. I really don't know what's wrong with him. Now, I suddenly thought of calling Hans.

"Hans are you on your way?" I asked him.

"Yes, but I'm going to go see Jarred first so we can go together. I chatted him and he said he was at the seaside." He answered from the other line.

"Ah, good. Take care on the way, okay. We'll wait. Just let us know if you need something." I said and we immediately hung up the phone.

And Jonas on the other hand, he left a message on our gc saying,

"I was supposed to be on my way but I have to pick someone up at the airport. It's a wrong timing. Mommy didn't say right away that she was going home. For sure it will take me a long time here, maybe I can catch up with you guys late at night." He sadly said in the chat with emojis and even sent a picture of himself while at the airport. He's obviously bored haha.

"Yes bro, that's ok. If you're not there, of course aunty will scold you and then suddenly summon me haha. Just don't forget to follow us here." I replied to him.

I turned around and put my attention when Zed suddenly spoke.
   
"Bro, did you talk to Jarred?" Zed asked seemingly out of the blue.

"What do you mean bro? He also chatted on our gc last Tuesday. We all talked with each other. Did you forget?" Jaydi answered him.

"No, what I mean is did you talk in person or via dm." He seriously said.

"Ah yes, I did met him earlier at the mall. I told him that we can come here together but, he had somewhere else to go to." I told them.

"Ahh that's good, maybe it's just me haha. Since I'm too busy, we don't talk much and we don't see each other outside." Zed answered.

"What's this?!" Jaydi suddenly said loudly that made us all shocked. We turned our attention to him.

"What is it?" Ryle asked curiously.

Jaydi immediately showed us his phone. It's a picture, I mean a post in fb. Posted just a minute ago.

Jarred posted a picture of him while at the seaside near a tree with a hammock. His caption says, "I will accompany you and cradle you here forever". What's confusing is that if you look closely at the pic, he is swinging the cradle without anyone.

"Does he want to say something and for whom is the caption?" Zed said as if he couldn't think of anything else to say.

"What? You mean his girlfriend? They broken up for 3 months ago. Unless, he wants someone new? But the weird thing is, it's just so random." Jaydi said. It makes sense though. What does he mean by this?

We are all confused and we can't think properly, suddenly our phones rang because of a notification. Jarred left a chat on our gc...

"Goodbye Bros, always be careful. Thank you again for including me in your group. I will never forget you." He's chat seems to be saying goodbye.

It's surprising that he suddenly messaged like this. We were more and more feeling uneasy and confused. I decided of going to see Hans at the seaside.

"Guys I think I should go there and check them. I don't feel good about this." I'm worried but I'm just trying to be calm.

"I'll go with you Pres. Just the two of us will go, just stay here Zed and Ryle." Jaydi suggested while looking at the two.

"Yes, it's even better to have someone with you, Pres. Let us know when you get there." Ryle said.

We acted quickly and I immediately drove off. I was nervous but I tried to calm down and made sure to drive properly to avoid something bad to happen. I continue to focus on driving and trying to speed up. Unexpectedly, we ran out of gas. I want to scream but I don't want Jaydi to see that I'm impatient and not calm.

"Wait a minute, Pres, I might see a store there, so I'll try to walk first. I'll try to be quick and go back here as soon as possible, maybe I can buy gasoline." He said and I agreed.

After ten minutes, Jaydi returned with a gallon of gasoline. I finally took a deep breath. We immediately traveled again.

I speeded up on driving while making sure we would be safe. And because it was still far away, it still took us an hour. Maybe if we hadn't run out of gas, maybe we would have arrived earlier.

We arrived at the seaside and Jaydi was the first to get out of the car. I was about to get out of the car when Ryle called.

"Bro, you finally answered. We were worried." He said and he was obviously worried.

"Sorry, we just arrived, that's why I didn't answer your calls. We would have arrived earlier if we hadn't run out of gas." I explained.

"Ah, is that so? It's good that you two are safe. Alright, I'll take it down. Just give us updates." This was the last thing he said and he immediately hung up.

I was about to hide my phone in my pants pocket when it suddenly rang again. Who's calling? It's an unknown number but I answered anyway. I was shocked and stunned by what I have heard on the other line.
