AN OBITUARY TO MY BIG-DAD!
Thou SOUL Shall R.I.P.!!!

My deepest Condolences, conveying through and for consoling myself as I thought many a times to come and see BIG DAD once, and a grief risen recollecting when he last talked to MY MOTHER that he asked about me more than once and made a point to call him, as he wants to talk to me. But I wanted that more, wanted to hear either NARRENNDRAA or NARROOO, as I still remember that syllabalic-sound.

I miss that, I really do.

My relationship with BIG DAD is one of its kind, am allowing myself to spell those.

Whenever I came to MALLAVARAM (my native village) he is the one to greet me first, as he used to sit at the door of our 'MANDUVAA' (CAUSWAY), and never used to let me go in, asking me to sit with him for a while in his usual melodic voice, that has become a nativity of MALLAVARAM itself for me.
MISSING THAT BELONGINGNESS!

We both used to sit on that table for hours, and he used to answer many of my petty questions, as curious fellow I am, without any irritation whatsoever.

MISSING THOSE COMFORTABLE SILENCES!

A I remember spending time with him in the farm, milking the buffaloes keeping me besides.

MISSING THAT AROMA!

Later, if I came to MALLAVARAM, I first used to search for him, if not found at his usual sitting place, rushing into his home. Only then I used to enter the MANDUVA- He is like a Gateway

MISSING THAT PRESENCE!

Those water bottles in the Fridge of different varieties - shapes and sizes- used to Amuse me, not knowing what and from where they came. But he did not tell me what/why they are!

MISSING THAT CARE!

I remember a cricket tournament played in our farm and BIG DAD watching from adjacent farm, like from a pavilion, which used to be square, and applauding me when ever ball went that side while I was batting. And to please him I used to play that side, which improved my offside batting.

MISSING THAT SPIRITED APPRECIATION!

I still remember BIG DAD taking me in a WHITE AMBASSADOR once and a BLACK one I suppose, which his elder Son used to come from KAKINADA (A COSTAL TOWN), enjoying the ride, while he asking me about his driving and all like a happy child.

MISSING THAT INNOCENCE!

Of all what I missed the most is the PRIDE in his Eyes for what he felt when he boarded a BENZ earned by his eldest one. That joy, that true ANANDA being not witnessed by me, might haunt me for rest of my life!
