The Road to Grace part 19
"So...what do you think of Gabe?" asked Kelsey as they had driven away from the church.
"I think you've talked alot more about me to your church people than you like to admit."
"No!"
"Oh yeah? Then how come Gabe knows about my seizure? And that I live with two girls? Thought your talk with the pastor was it? And just you needed prayers."
"...well he...he's a good friend. I didn't know you two were going to pal up."
"You say I'm secretive."
"You are. You keep so much to yourself like if someone gets a little info, your life will crumble."
"I've never had anyone I could trust with information Kels. You of all people should know that."
"Not even me?"
"Oh God... really? How many times did we...I've talked to you. Hell, I brought you around my psychotic house. You were the first person to ever spend the night in that place."
"You hated today, didn't you?"
"No...not completely. Yeah, I like Gabe. We talked about some pretty serious stuff. He told me about how he wasn't always in church either. It's nice to find someone who wasn't raised in it."
"...I think we should grab some lunch."
"You know, your days of babysitting me is about over. I get my check soon."
"So I've officially been branded as a mother now huh?"
"Maybe it's because of you lacking a good mom."
"You're seriously gonna turn psychology on me?"
"I've picked up a few things here and there. You talk about school more than you think."
"I need a big milkshake...oh right, since I'm the mom I'm going to pick where we go and... Gov' na's! It is."
"Again?"
"They got the biggest menu selection so yeah... again."
"You always greet them with the same corny joke."
"Well, don't name your restaurant governor's and it wouldn't happen. I...
