Sasuke moaned softly, then turned to reach out her hands to stop the Alarm, she jerked her hand a little to the left and finally after a lot of straining and ringing she managed to turn the alarm off. The room was silent for a bit until
"Sasuke! Aren't you up already.. ", Sasuke moaned again. It wasn't an alarm. It was a call, from her friend Marnie, dont get it wrong, Sasuke loved Marnie as a best friend… more as a sister. Marnie usually called up early and spoke in such a cheerful tone when something exciting was to commence for both the girls… Sasuke thought a bit about the exciting things that were going to take place today… yes! Thats it! New highschool
Sasuke, was a bit bronzed. But she happily yet abruptly sat up and spoke through the phone
"Marnie…. New highschool! How exciting" Sasuke chimed through the device
"Aren't you up? We'll use my car to school today! Tommorow yours," Marnie said rather excitedly.
Sasuke replied with a quick See you downstairs and cut the phone, High school was fun and so was Marnie, she still is… she always is. But nowadays, it seems like there's always a secretive expression in her cheerful face. There's also something she conceals from Sasuke. Sasuke knew her all her life, so she could tell if something was wrong
Sasuke and Marnie grew up almost together, same neighborhood, same school, same gym, same studio.. it couldn't get more far. Highschool seemed to excite Marnie more than our playdates and pool parties and lunches. This wasn't the Marnie Sasuke knew, it couldn't be.
Sasuke's insecurities took the best of her as she continued to assess Marnie's peculiar progression towards Sasuke. She knew it was going to be easy for Marnie because she was a TikTok star, almost all highschool students might know her. Sasuke let her insecurities take the best of her.
As Sasuke and Marnie entered the car, the girls adjusted themselves in the driver's and passenger seat. As a music Playlist played in the background, Marnie couldn't help but notice the disturbed look on Sasuke's face.
"Sasuke, is there anything wrong? You can tell me anything" Marnie's concerned voice broke the silence, after the uncomfortable movement, Sasuke replied
"Yes… and I know that even i could tell. Marnie… don't you think you will forget me, the new highschool has so many people that you may like, but won-"
"Sisi, I'll always remember you okay? No matter if we're friends or enemies. I'll still love you… you have a special place in my heart no-one can substitute" Marnie assured her friend who was nearly on tears.
"Thanks Marnie, thank you so much….."
"Well i guess Sasuke, you just needed that re assurance"
After a 15 minute drive, The girls departed to their new Miyazaki highschool. As they entered the building now swarming with students and teachers. A shout could be heard
"I am not going for gym whatever happens" A young girls voice could be heard. Marnie and Sasuke run towards the direction of the voice to see a long blackish blue hair girl talking to a slightly younger, black haired, beautiful girl
"Ughgh Naomie, its not like I want to either, father said we have to do it, now take this and change up for third bell" the taller one said, Sasuke knew her from the orientation day, Kadia Koshike, and she didn't though recognize the younger, and fussed one.Kadia said these words calmly and flung a blue Nike onto the cradled arms of The younger one. Who looked angry and passed a death glare into the direction which Kadia exited.
What Sasuke noticed also was the flirtatious stares of admiration that passed between Marnie and the younger one. Which left Sasuke confused. Maenie looked spellbinding and speechless staring at the young girl. Sasuke decided to test her and later brushed it off.
"Marnie!" Marnie snapped back into reality, with a small expression of fear,,she abruptly changed into an adorable smile "Marnie. Ill be using the washroom, please stay here and wait for me." Sasuke said and as her feet pattered aggressively on the granite school floor, on the way, she saw Kadia looking bummed and walking towards a group of girls, with eyelids half closed and looking more bronzed then ever.
As Sasuke joined back, she still caught Marnie staring at Naomie, this was very peculiar, had she seen her before? Maybe you should ask… nope, let's give her some space thought Sasuke. She clearly new that being a lifelong acquaintance with a brown girl doesn't mean you stuff into her life.. she needs her space, you're only doing good and adding to the friendship.. Thought Sasuke joining Marnie
