I thought I'd get my bike out today but to be honest I wasn't very enthusiastic, just had a shower and heading for the bedroom I noticed a giant poodle "dog" in my garden and a little girl standing by the gate, so I opened the door and asked the girl what was going on, she didn't answer just nodded to the corner, as I walked round there was a lady trying to turn the water on to the property next door while getting instructions on the phone, I said I'd check it,then opened it up, she thanked me and apologized as she didn't realise I lived there, I said it was ok.
As I went to walk away the lady was struggling to get up, so I walked back and offered her a hand up, all this while still in my dressing gown lol.
I got dressed and was hanging my washing out, the lady thanked me again, said she was taking her grand daughter to the beach but didn't know what to do with the front door as when she got there the glass was smashed, she had spoken to the site manager and they were going to get her a phone number, when she came back she hadn't heard anything so I said don't worry as I would do a temporary fix until they could get a glazier to put a new window in for her.
We started chatting and she said she had come to check the place for her daughter and she had moved a couple of hours drive away so never got there now.
The Lady asked me my name and told me she was Debbie, she told her daughter what a lovely new neighbour she had, I didn't blush much lol.
As she was leaving, she said she would be coming back soon and hoped to see me again, seems I made a new friend.
