CURSE OF TRUTH
Once upon a time, in a small village, there was a young boy named Rohit. Rohit was known in the village for his honesty and integrity. He was always truthful and never lied to anyone, no matter the circumstances.
One day, the village chief summoned Rohit to his office. The chief asked Rohit if he knew who had stolen the village's prized possession, a golden statue of the village deity. Rohit replied that he did not know who had stolen the statue. However, the chief did not believe him and accused Rohit of lying.
Rohit was distraught. He knew that he was telling the truth, but the chief would not believe him. The villagers began to treat Rohit differently. They whispered behind his back and avoided him. Rohit began to feel isolated and alone.
One day, a wise sage visited the village. Rohit went to the sage and poured out his heart. The sage listened patiently and then said, "Rohit, the curse of truth is a heavy burden to bear. But it is better to bear that burden than to live a life of lies."
The sage then told Rohit the story of a king who ruled a kingdom with an iron fist. The king demanded complete obedience and loyalty from his subjects. However, the king's advisors were corrupt and lied to him about the true state of the kingdom.
The king eventually discovered the truth and was devastated. He realized that the curse of lies was far worse than the curse of truth. From that day forward, the king made it his mission to seek the truth, no matter the cost.
Rohit listened intently to the sage's words. He realized that the curse of truth was not a curse at all, but a blessing. He returned to the village with a renewed sense of purpose. He continued to live a life of honesty and integrity, no matter the consequences.
In the end, Rohit's honesty and integrity were rewarded. The golden statue was found, and the true thief was caught. The village chief apologized to Rohit and asked for his forgiveness. The villagers also apologized to Rohit and welcomed him back into their community.
