We First Need to Give, and Then We Will Recieve
If you look, you will find many promises in the Bible concerning giving and recieving; however, as Jesus pointed out, that it is more blessed to give than to recieve, and we must first give and then we shall receive, because it's our turn to start giving back.

When realizing from birth until we could walk, talk, clean, and eat for ourselves; we have been given everything from food, clothing, and how to walk, even the countless generations it took to form all our languages, so I could communicate this message to you, now; we have been given everything that we have.

Even then, after we do realize all this, it takes many years before you can correctly support yourself, pay all your own Bill's, and start supporting others (unless all those have been given you); and then we think we are really doing something, punching it out of our purses and wallets to give.

Not to mention the One that lords over all who has given to make this world function and to feed us all. Because He authored giving and out gives all of us put together. Just for each individual, He not only brings the breath of life with all the functioning systems to make that happen, and there is not a function our body engages in that He is not supplying, guiding, for He is life.

This is one meditation which can prep you for counting your blessings, when we start from birth and ponder unto this day; we will be exercising our awareness in how we are supplied our lives and our responsibility in turn. And like putting a plate of food in front of a hungry man, we have instincts that will kick in.

But, I have come here to show you concerning why giving is mostly going to be before receiving, in this fallen world. And another thing about giving is we have to be supplied to be able to give, so the Lord made us a promise:

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again" (Luke 6:38, KJV).

Once we have started giving back to God through giving unto others, we should have honor within ourselves towards taking what we have received and providing it for those being born right now, and for those that have not yet had a chance to receive the toil and labor of those who provided for us and those that raised us.
