Figure
A figure travels the world seeking answers for questions that have existed since the beginning of humanity's existence. This figure once dined with those who hailed from civilizations long lost to years of war and tyranny. Traveling across the oceans of which names has been changed so many times that remembering all would be a task even the gods could not undertake. Seeing how ugly this world is, but also seeing the beauty that exists in the small things in life, like the cry of a newborn or the glistening of the trees, the relationships of those who have changed from hatred to love; from friends to enemies. Questions that form and fade as the years pass seeking to be found and answered. Walking…. singing… . suffering though experiences that form and break humanity. Finally after all the long, hard but fulfilling years the figure walks to a long forgotten glade where it stands alone far away from humanity's scorn. The figure stared off into the distance as if caught in a trance, watching as the birds danced and sang in the air as if they owned the sky. The figure had many questions that had graced its mind over the years having only until this final sunset to answer them. The questions that were asked are why must we suffer? Why must we be cruel? Why are we so afraid of this graying world we live upon? Why must the innocent bear the worst of scars, and why do the cruel and the greedy have the prettiest of facades? These questions have grown over the years as the figure has travelled and gained many experiences whether they be through voice or sight. This figure has had many greetings as well as goodbyes, and as the sun is beginning to set on the figures final day, why are we given our hand in life?
