My true testing
I loved life. I had everything going for me. I was a A student. I got accepted to study medicine with my standard nine results. It was time for this all important exams to commense. I remember going to school feeling very sick because I had insomnia for over a month. The severe insomnia made it difficult for me to even write my first paper but I did not give up.
Many of my friends and even my teachers encouraged me to write because half way through the exams I wanted to give up. One of my close friends called me and he told me, dont waste the year. He said you can do this. He also excelled in school and he was placed second in the KwaZulu natal.
I will never forget people like him and all my school friends and even my dearest teachers who supported me in the exams. I can recall one of my teachers had a letter she had written to give me, when I wrote my last paper. She told me this was my true testing because I was like someone who wrote the exams with like chains on my feet. She said she was so proud of me, because with the going got tough, I never give up. She will always have a special place in my heart. Her words touched my heart. It meant so much.
I managed to complete every single paper by God's saving grace and I passed with a metric exzemption. This meant I had university entrance but I was still very ill, as the insomnia got worse. It took me many years to surface above my situation and I did!
We got a letter from one of the universites that I could study medicine even though my marks had dropped in the final exams because I became sick. The letter said, all I have to do, is do a three month bridging course and I could get into medicine.
Unfortunately I was still very sick and I didn't further my studies as I began suffering from depression. It took me twenty years to recover as this is a complex and a difficult illness to cope with. I finally have found my passion once again.
I'm writting books to testify about the glory of God and what God had done in my life. He even saved me when I was about to die, due to fat embolism. I'm glad I'm helping people to be overcomers and I'm glad I'm an encouragement to others. I wanted to become a doctor inorder to help people who were sick and it's amazing how I'm still helping people because of my life story.
What Jesus has done for me, is immense by saving my life and he helped me pass the exams. This is my real life story. I hope you are blessed by my story. All blessing and honour belongs to Jesus always!
