chapter 7-Daughter of Dragons

" Just choose one. You're making it harder than it has to be". Ben yelled at Arashi.

Leaf Red had set out pieces of armor for him. He'd noticed his clothing was tattered and dirty.

" But I want something that protects me as well as allows me to move more efficiently". He stroked his imaginary beard.

" If you want something malleable as well as flexible I'd recommend leather steel. The padding is a tough soft leather and the outer parts are steel mixed with gold".

He jesters to a shiny steel shoulder plate, similar to Kenshi's.

Arashi throws it around his shoulder and ties it up. " Fits great", Arashi said." But, it's a little too bland. Could you add some color to it?"

Můn smiled. A butterfly landed on her finger. She placed it on Arashi's shoulder plate. With a flap of its wings, the plain silver plate vibrantly changed colors. A sky blue plate with a white line that shifted colors in the light.

" Woah! What was that?!" Ben asked for Arashi.

" Jiko magic", Můn said plainly.

That was the first time Ben had seen Jiko magic. Except for when King Polo threw him around back on Royal Island.

" What's Jiko Magic?" Arashi asked as he rubbed the magical paint around.

" Jiko magic is one of three different types of magic. It's gifted to you by someone else or earned from within". Ben had remembered what King Polo said so long ago. He wanted to learn magic so badly.

An hour later Arashi and Ben wanted to test out his armor in the woods. Ben unsheathed his sword and slashed his shoulder plate. A loud ' ding' rang throughout the forest.

" Woah. Even with 100% of my force, not even a dent was left", Ben said. He resheathed his sword as Arashi started talking.

" Hey. That magic Můn used earlier. Where do you think it came from?"

" Well, we wouldn't know unless we asked her. She's incredibly capable so I'd assume it came from within herself instead of it being passed down".

" Hm. Do you think we'd ever get magic?"

" I hope so. It would be as much fun as it was dangerous. But this world is full of things we haven't even encountered yet".

" So many possible adventures are just waiting for us. That's crazy", Arashi said.

" Adventures await".


Suddenly out of nowhere, a flame blue spirit appeared. Slowly, bit by bit, the ghost-like flame built itself up. And finally, a fully formed spirited of a girl showed itself.

" Benjamin Potter. Wolf Arashi. I am Queen Lammè. Daughter of Dragons. I have come to tell you of your purpose among the universe". The blue spirit named Queen Lammè bowed in respect. Her voice as soft as silk and aa gentle as a mountain breeze.

" H-hi. How-where"- The spirit of Queen Lammè cut off Ben's stuttering.
