Overprotective
This is a story about a little girl named Iris, she was just a lonely only child who other kids wanted nothing to do with, until the new love of her life came. Iris´ mom had another baby girl and named her Riri, now considered Iris´ little sister, `Finally, someone who'll appreciate me for me.´ Iris thought, she thought that maybe she could bond a bit with her new sister and spend some time with her.
As time went by, days, weeks, months, years went by since Iris has been bonding with Riri, then she realized, maybe Riri was the only thing she'll care about from now on. She never let anyone near her, not even if they just wanted to hold her. Growing up, whenever someone wanted to hold Riri, Iris would point a gun at them.

Random Person: She's so adorable.~

Iris: Yes, yes she is.

Random Person: Can I hold her?

Iris: *already loading her gun* no.

Riri didn't understand why Iris didn't let her do anything with other people, but when she turned ten, it was actually pretty obvious,...for her at least. Riri thought that maybe Iris pointed guns at people, because she wasn't a people person, so she thought that maybe she should try to get Iris out in the open for a few hours. She had a plan.
Riri invited everyone from Iris´ school to a party she planned in the backyard of the house, when Iris saw this, she thought that Riri was trying to get herself hurt by throwing an unscheduled party that nobody knew about, so she threw everyone out of the house and mildly scolded Riri for letting that happen, reminding Riri never to put her sister out in the open ever again.
About three years and a half later, Riri and Iris lived together in a forty story building in Chicago, which was Iris´ business corporation. Riri didn't want to live with her sister in a forty story building, she wanted to go out in the open and raise her own money to buy her own house, she TRIED to talk to Iris about it, but...

Riri: I want to be free.

Iris: I'm not letting you go just like *snap*, you're my baby sister.

Riri: I'm not a baby anymore, I want to be free from this, I'm not a baby!

Iris: You're MY baby.

Nothing clearly worked. All Riri wanted to do was go outside more, but Iris only wanted her baby sister to be safe,...then something came. Riri's birthday was coming up next week, and Riri's only idea for a gift was to go live free, so she packed a few things in a duffel and was about to leave...almost.
Iris came into the room with a serious look on her face, not fully serious, there was only a tad bit of sympathy in that face.

Iris: One of my coworkers told me you were moving out.

Riri: This is why I don't tell you anything.

Iris: Why do you want to move out?

Riri: Freedom. That's why. You have been a complete control freak to me my entire life, and I'm sick of it, all I want to do is get some time to myself.

Iris:...You want to know why I've been a complete control freak?

Riri: Sort of.

Iris:...Because I was just a kid, and my life was a nightmare. Nobody wanted to play with me, be friends with me, everyone just let me suffer in silence, and you were the only one in the world that kept me company, like that party you threw for me. I wanted to have fun for a while, but I just couldn't stand the thought of random boys would probably hit on you without asking me, I only wanted to be with you.

With that, Riri's eyes swelled up with heavily wet tears, she never thought the world could be so careless to her big sister. Once she REALLY began crying, Iris pulled her in for a hug, a big and tight one.

Iris: I just wanted you to live a better life than me.

Riri: And I was too young and blind to see that.

Iris: How about you and me go on a vacation, just the two of us?

Riri: Of course, it's been forever since I've actually wanted to spend time with you.

Now Riri realizes that maybe it's okay if a family member can be a little overprotective, but a heartfelt truth hides behind all of it.

THE END.
