hold me
As he came into the bedroom, her expression was not a happy one. She tried to brush it off with a smile but he asked her if she wanted a hug. She refused and quickly ran off into the shower. Once she was done he asked what was the matter. She said nothing and walked away to cook dinner. As they ate he asked her again. She said , she loved him but she didn't feel comfortable sharing the problem right now. He asked her if he could hug her and she said yes and she held on for five minutes and then started to cry. He told her that he loved her and that he'd be there for her forever. She thanked him for being a real friend apart from a lover and said she loved him too but she fears he won't love her anymore if she reveals her truth. He got very concerned and pleaded with her to please tell him how he can help or how he can make her trust that he won't leave her no matter what. Suddenly, she fainted and he called the ambulance. At the hospital they tell the man that his girlfriend has fallen into a coma and that her brain had a lesion which they repaired the best way possible. He crumbles down to his knees and cries while understanding his girlfriend's reason behind not telling him. He would have been devastated sooner and she promised to keep him happy for as long as she could. He gets to calm down a little after an hour and asks the doctors and nurses nearby if he can visit his girlfriend. they tell him no as she is in the ICU and all noise must be kept to the minimum. He goes to the waiting room and does not leave for three days. The doctor recognizing him approaches and advises him to go home to get rest and to freshen up and that he will be phoned with any update. One month goes by and he quits his job , unable to cope with the emotional and psychological impact of the situation. He cannot believe the hospital did not allow him to visit the love of his life and did not have better news about her recovery. Friends, neighbors and family came to see him but he was a gray and bitter and afraid so he sent each one of them away kindly , hoping they'd understand that he wasn't hating them , he hated that his girlfriend was doing horribly. to be continued
