Cold December winter snow filled the air. Driveways and sidewalks being shoveled in Northeast Ohio. Winters in Ohio can be rough but our O. D. O. T. or Ohio Department Of Transportation takes very good care of that situation. Opposed to states like Michigan, Kentucky, and most other states Ohio ranks in the top tier. They don't call it the "rust belt" for nothing. Like all things, winter has a smell. That smell filled the air. A watery smell almost. Hard to describe with words but you know it when you smell it. Life is full of smells. Within this small subdivision there was only One driveway that wasn't getting snow blown, shoveled or plowed. The house was a two story home white in color, in decent shape and in a decent neighborhood. This home had an ally that ran along side of it so many times the Ally was used as means to park in the driveway, which was small with a small one car garage. In that Garage sat a late 1990s Grand am with dust covering it. Every other home you could sense life was going on, you could track the steps in the snow but this home did not have anything which was very odd due to the snow being on the ground for almost two weeks. Most people would assume that a family foreclosed and abbanded this home, but that was not the case. Only if they knew what lingered past that porch and front door..

Alyson I had met in highschool. She was a friend of a friends girlfriend. I was introduced during my freshman year at my cousin Dustins house. Dustin knew everyone.
