"Cab Driver"

Year 2016,Outer Jaipur(Pink city).
Time:- 11.15 pm

Two Sisters along with a kid went to a birthday party.
Elder sister name - Madhu
younger - Vaani
kid - Rohit (He is Son of Madhu).

It's was birthday of an old friend of Madhu and the party venue was about 13 kms away from their home.
they booked a ride from Kuber and reached the venue around 8pm,had a good time with friends,enjoyed the party and dinner,now its 10.30 and they have to travel for 13 kms to reach their home,Madhu asked Vaani to book a ride,Vaani opened the app But due to late night hours very few cabs were available.
They had to travel on Khonagoriya Road (which is not considered to be safe during late night travelling,few incidents of robbery and rape reported earlier).
So their requests for booking got cancelled multiple times by drivers.
it took some time but Vaani finally booked a ride with driver Name 'Asif'.
Cab arrived within 8 mins and now its almost 11pm, odd hour of time and the history of Road making them little nervous but they didn't had any better option.
They all departed at 11.05 from the venue and soon they reached at Khonagoriya Road.
The road was not soo crowded,Dark and Dead silent,rarely they could see any other vehicle,Closed shops and No street lights.The Road attached by the mountain from one side and jungle from another side so the network signal was also weak. Though this area is only for 5 kms,its fine during day time but it can scare anyone out there at night.

Vaani whispered in Madhu's ear 'Didi iska Naam Asif or ye area bhi in logon ka h agar kuch ho gya to?isne kuch kar diya to?aap ghar pr message krdo car no.and his name.
Madhu texted all details of cab to her father and they both felt relaxed.
But
After few mins the cab stopped suddenly.
Madhu asked what happened bhaiya?
Asif- Madam someone is standing on the road just in front of car.
they both looked straight and got shocked by looking at a guy standing in front of the car with a Gun in his hand.
Sooner 2 more guys appeared from the road side and stood near to the car gates.
Guy with the gun asked them to came out from the car.
Vaani was suspecting Asif and said its your plan,you took us here its your area,I heard this area belongs to your community, You are one of them.
Asif refused all these and said Madam please have patience I will take care of you all.He locked the car from inside and tried to call the police but there were very weak signals. he could not connect to anyone. Same network issue with Vaani and Madhu.
One guy from outside started shouting get out or we will shoot you all dead.
they placed big stones on the road so that car couldn't move.
Now all inside the car were getting damm nervous and scared.
But Asif Spoke in courageous voice 'Madam don't worry,they are three in number and we are also three,we can beat them if we work together with a plan, We just need to put that gunman down. I can handle rest 2 of them.

Now Asif made a plan 'I always keep a iron road and a wicket in car for any kind of mess,iron road is not soo big I can hide that in my pants,I will go out 1st and will try to mimic the negotiation with gunman,then one of you(Vaani )will switch on the high focus beamer lights,as gunman is standing right on the front of the car he will get distracted from high lights.Once he got distracted i will throw the iron rod on him with force and will make him fall and will run towards him to take over the gun. seeing this other guys will run to catch me but before they reach me you(Madhu)will come out and hit (the one who is standing near your gate)on head with wicket and then you will quickly return inside the car.after getting a bang on head he could not stand again soo quickly and by this we can reduce their man strength and once I get the gun we can over take them easily.

Madhu and Vaani agreed to the plan as there was no other choice.
Brave Asif risked his life and get out of the car,Vaani switched the high beam light and gunman got distracted,Asif ran to him and pushed him to the road,Madhu got out of the car and managed to hit on the knee of one guy.he fall there and couldn't move for few secs, Asif was sitting on that gunman and was trying to snatch the gun, 3rd guy came over and hit Asif with a stone on head but brave and strong Asif was still fighting to get the control of the gun,seeing this Madhu came out and hit the 3rd guy hard on his head from behind with wicket and soon the blood started coming out,seeing the blood the 3rd guy ran away out of pain. Vaani also gathered courage and started hitting the 2nd guy with her heels. Now with help of Madhu, Asif got the Gun in his hand and pointed it towards the main guy.
Now all was under control but
Asif was bleeding and getting unconscious, he didn't wanted to loose the control over the main guy so he shooted him in his leg and made him disabled. 2nd guy surrendered to Vaani.
Asif asked Vaani to get her scarf(Chunni,idk english word for it)and tied his hands legs together.
As Asif need medical attention urgently they took the main guy in car trunk to hand over it to the police.
Madhu drove the car to the nearest hospital and as soon signal restored they informed the local police.
Police arrived at the hospital and took control of the criminal.
Madhu informed her family about everything and they stayed all night at the hospital taking best care of Asif.
Vaani felt sorry for Asif and apologised to him purely.
Asif got 7 stitches on his head and there was nothing serious so he was discharged next day.
Next Day this incident was reported in local newspaper, He also got some rewards from local authorities.

Asif was 29 years old at that time,father of 2 daughters,only earner of the family still he risked his life to save the humanity and people forgot him after some days.
Asif is still a "Cab Driver " and he will never forget this incident.
These are real life Heroes living silently in Chaos of life.
