Time machine
If I had a time machine,
I know where I would go.
Back to that place, just a moment in time,
An I know I would not let you go.

I would open my eyes and make myself see,
That you were only a child, and you needed me,
The sorrow I felt was not yours to bare,
I'd take it all back with out question or care,

For that one moment in time, when I should have seen through,
The one who needed protection, was you!
I'm so sorry my child, I was blind, couldn't see,
All the things that you needed your mother to be,

Any blame that you feel I will take from you now,
Erase all that you suffered on this lord I vow,
I'd Give back all your childhood, lost through his lies,
Perhaps then I will see you, when I look in your eyes.
