WHAT HAD BEEN SAID CONCERNING YOU
Genesis 5:29 - And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.
There lived a poor family in a very far land,Their life was full of struggle,But when they gave birth, they were happy and they believe that the child they gave birth to is going to change the story of the family for life.
The question here is, what is that thing that had been said about you when you were born? Are you the one or they should still wait for another person.
You see, even when Jesus was born, there is a lot of people waiting for him and when they saw him they rejoice, Because,they know that the time they've been waiting for has come.
Same was with Noah, according to that verse we read. When they gave birth to him, his father believe he's the one that is going to save them. They knew they've made a lot of mistakes in time past. They knew, they were stubborn , they could not follow instructions. But they belief that this one, we are ready to help this one not to make the same mistake we made.
The question is, how did Noah come to know God? Looking from Enoch days to Noah days was a very long years but still yet Noah finds grace in the site of God. God gave him instructions that will liberate his generation and he obeyed. That means for him to know God, he was taught in the ways of God. Though, probably his parents might not follow God but they knew the truth and they taught him the truth because they know that, it is only God that can liberate them.
You see, many of us, this is the way our life is. Our parents saw the light but due to their ignorance, disobedience and unconcerned, they find themselves where they are. And they prayed and hope on God that, no one after them will make the same mistake they made.
And because of this, when we came, they did all there best to show us the way. They teach, correct and pressure us to follow the way. Because they know that, if we miss it, we will not just suffer it but the generation after us will suffer it also.
But to your surprise, most of us are not wise. We are too stubborn. We also want to follow that wrong footstep. Even despite the fact that they tell us how they end up getting to where they got to, we still turn deaf ears.
But I want to bring it to your understanding that, Noah did not do it by himself, Jesus did not do it by himself. When they understood what their journey in life entails. They moved close to the one who can help them achieve there purpose.
You can not liberate a generation by your power or tactics. You need God to see you through and help you. If people you meet can use there wisdom and it fetch them nothing, what will make you different from them. The only advantage you can get to liberate your generation is God.
Without God, nothing is possible. But with God everything is possible. Though when Noah came, he might not look like the one. When Jesus came, he might not look like the one. But as time goes on, they start seeing the results of following instructions. Because in that instruction lies the result.
So I bring to you today, that it high time you stop being stubborn, and start thinking straight. If you fail to get it right now, you might not get a second chance. Your generation is waiting for you to get it right. Do not fail yourself. Do not fail your generation. Do not fail people who has been waiting for you. Do not fail God. Get up now, forget about the time you've wasted. You can still get it right.
