whenever we see....
Whenever we see.....

Whenever we see a butterfly my mum gets very excited.

She says "ooh oooh a butterfly. You know what that means don't you? There's got to be a unicorn somewhere close by."

She tells me "wherever there's a butterfly there must be a unicorn not too far away".

""Butterflies and unicorns are very good friends, they always play together." She says.

Then she tells me, "if you look real hard and if your really lucky you might even get to see one for yourself one day."

She says, "Not everyone is lucky enough to see unicorns you know. Because not everyone believes in them."

"Unicorns are very shy. They only ever come out for people who really and truly believe in them and look very hard" She says.

"Then she gets a BIG smile and says "I love unicorns. They are magic, they are beautiful and they are really very sweet if you're ever lucky enough to meet one."

So whenever I see a butterfly I look around as best as I can because I know somewhere close by there is a very shy unicorn looking back at me.

Whenever we see a lady bug my mum says to me, "ooh be careful of that cheeky little lady bug, I bet there is a fairy somewhere around here looking for her."

She tells me, "Fairies love their pet Lady bugs very much but Lady bugs can very cheeky little bugs."

"Lady bugs like to play little tricks on their fairy friends and they love to play hide and seek." She says.

Then she tells me, "Those cheeky little lady bugs get into all kinds of mischief,"

Then mum giggles. She tickles my tummy and says "just like you hey little darling?"

So whenever I see a lady bug I smile to myself and I picture a glittery little fairy looking for her lady bug friend.

Whenever we see a little lizard sitting in the sun my mum says " oooh that little lizard must be having a rest so he's already for his big race."

She tells me "little elves love to ride lizards and race each other "

"Lizards are very fast. They make great little racers don't you know?" She says

Then she looks at me and says " do you think you would like to race on a lizard little darling?"

I picture myself sitting on the back of a lizard racing through the finish line with lots of elves cheering me on. "I sure would mummy and I bet I could win too." I say.

My mum knows all about unicorns and fairies and elves and all kinds of magical things.

I love imagining little elves racing on the back of lizard, and fairies playing with their lady bug friends. But mostly I like to imagine what a unicorn would be like if I was ever lucky enough to meet one.
