Vinnie's little secret
After a couple of sleepless nights & wondering concentration, Struggling hard to mug up right, Scanning each words with her eyes. Vinnie successfully completed her board exams; And now came the day of farewell,
She dressed up in a lovely maroon saree which had a thin black boarder, Perfectly plated and the pallo left undraped on the left hand. She wore long earrings , a thin chain around her neck , high heeled sandals and a black watch which was gifted to her on birthday by a special person ,who
entered her life , when she was new in the school and knew nobody there. He became her first and the best friend. They used to fight, play, argue, talk, and care for each other.
But than came a day in their life when after school it rained heavy and Vinnie had no way to go home, All her friends left and , she was alone standing near the gate. A bike came in front of her and horned, That was her best friend. Her face smiled at him and he took her to his home.
She realized that he was the one she can trust and that he will always be there for her. She realized that its not just friendship but the love.
He gave her one of his mother's dress. And made some hot tea. He just turned on the heater and room was warm. It was still raining , He gave a call to Vinnie's mom and told her, not to worry.
Vinnie was really touched and felt that He is the one. She was just looking at him and was lost. Her heart started beating loud and than he called her near the window,
He said, " Look at those couple fighting , how can a person commit his life for someone ? " His words surprised her , so she asked him, " Would you never like to be committed ?". He just smiled and went inside to see the Maggie, he kept on stove. He served it and they sat on the couch with Maggie bowls and the tea , watching their favorite show for the first time together..
Vinnie really started liking him but was afraid to confess and never did it and now it was the farewell day. But she had decided that today she will say it all. And He came to pick her up, He came on his bike. They went to the farewell party together and enjoyed a lot.
And now it was the time to say bye, Vinnie have not confessed yet , she decided to talk at the parking. Everyone hugged each other and said their good bye.
Vinnie went to the parking, behind him and called his name, He turned and said, " wait I'm coming. "
And Vinnie waited at the gate, suddenly it started raining and a bike horned at her ; And she smiled at him. He took her to his home again.
But Vinnie's confession is still left.
He went into the kitchen, to make some tea and Vinnie followed him, and thought she would talk this time.
He asked, Do you want anything?"
and Vinnie said, " Yeah, Can you give me some clothes, this saree is a little wet; " " sure", he replied.
Vinnie was still staring at him , and he again asked, " Anything else ".
Vinnie was so confused and her confidence was withdrawn. So she just nodded.
Vinnie had the time and opportunity to say but her fear of loosing a friend pulled her back. So she kept the secret in her heart.
And every rains, she makes a wish to the drops, waiting for her friend and the smile again.......
