Today on My Life:

Me: You know [Case Manager] scheduled her test for LCSW?
#BossLady: WHAT? OMG she is going to fail!
Me: I told her she has to forget everything she thinks she knows and how she has been practicing for the past decade and actually study, which is impossible for her. I also told her twice that she needed to get a qualified licensed supervisor or else she will go under investigation for practicing therapy without being supervised per the state board.
BossLady: What do you mean?
Me: I mean, even if you already have the 2000 hrs, you need to continue being supervised by a qualified licensed clinician until you get your license. It's no longer just the 2000 hrs.
BossLady: But she has her 2000 hrs.
Me: I know. But she still needed to be supervised all this time according to the law changes because she is still not licensed.
BossLady: Ooohhhh..... They changed the law.....
Me: Yeah, as long as she is registered with the state, and she is not licensed, and she is practicing therapy, she needs to be meeting for supervision regularly until she gets her license even though she already got her 2000 hrs.
BossLady: I knew that.
Me: Then why did I have to explain that for the last 15 minutes?
