internet friends
pete and patrick had been friends on the internet for over nine years. the two met on amino, where they each expressed their love for a band they both liked.

patrick had gotten rather bored and started to look at other members' profiles. he stumbled upon one particular account that he found rather interesting. he messaged him and they became the best of friends. the two stuck together through thick and thin. no matter how awful things sometimes got, they were always there for each other.

patrick had just turned twenty-one, and had finally saved up enough money to see his friend!
~~~
pete smiled, waiting patiently for patrick to get off the train. he sat on the bench, watching as all the passengers slowly climbed off, and new ones boarded. he waited for a moment for the crowd to die down, his smile somehow growing bigger as he watched the pale man emerge from the dark suited business men. "patrick!" he called out, running towards the confused blonde.
"ahh!" patrick yelped as he was grabbed and pulled into a tight embrace. he was a bit panicked at first, not realizing it was pete. "oh," he sighed out thankfully, returning the hug. "hiii!" he smiled excitedly, pulling away from pete's grasp.
"it's about time we meet!" pete laughs, his face full of pure joy and excitement.
"yeah, I know!" patrick giggles. "what are we going to do?"
"well, first, we're taking you back to my place, and if you want, we'll go out for drinks." pete said, leading patrick back to his car.
patrick nods, putting his bags in the back before joining pete in the front seat. "yeah, alright, that sounds cool." he smiled, buckling up.
"awesome!" pete smiled, buckling up as well and driving to his apartment.
~~~

pete helped patrick bring his few bags in, taking them to the spare bedroom he had cleaned out.

once patrick was situated and had taken the shower he insisted on, pete got ready to take his now legal friend to a bar. pete said it was to celebrate patrick's birthday, which was a few days ago, but pete mostly just wanted to see what patrick was like as a drunk.
~~~
patrick giggled happily, dancing with these guys he had just met. pete was nearby, watching them cautiously. he knew patrick had not planned to leave with them, but patrick was also pretty drunk, so he wanted to make sure he was okay.
pete had not drank more than a couple drinks, and he felt alright. he did not mind not drinking, especially if it meant making sure patrick would be alright. he smiled watching his drunken pal stagger his way back towards him.
"hi!" patrick giggled, falling into pete's lap, arms wrapping loosely around his neck. "petey," he mumbled, laying his head on the older's shoulder and lazily pointing to the men he had been dancing with. "these," he giggled more, looking up to make sure he was pointing out the right people. "yeah! petey, these are my friends." he smiled, pointing to a tall man. "this is... uh, what's you name?"
"ryan," the taller laughed, reaching his hand out to pete. "that's brendon." he stated, nodding to the drunken mess clinging to his side as he pulled his hand back from pete's.
"pete," he smiled at the two.
"ryyyy!" the man who was apparently brendon giggled, poking at ryan's face.
"we're about to go," ryan laughed, pushing the finger from his cheek. "anyway, nice meeting you two." he waved, starting to walk away.
"awe!" patrick pouted as he watched his new pals leave him.
"I think it's time we head out too, hon." pete laughed, standing with patrick and walking out.
"but I was having fun!" patrick pouted more, huffing and crossing his arms as pete buckled him up.
"we can go home and have our own fun." pete chuckled, joining patrick in the car.
"fine," patrick grumbled.
~~~

by the time pete arrived back at the apartment, patrick was asleep.

pete laughed softly, getting out of the car, getting patrick out of the car, and brought him inside and into his apartment. "alright," he mumbled, trying to lay patrick in the bed. "let go," he muttered, trying to free himself of the sleepy man's grasp.

for as small as he is, pete would not have expected patrick to have such a strong hold. "sleeep," patrick whined, pulling pete to him.

"would you at least let me get comfortable?" pete whined, squirming in the grasp, trying to lay on the bed right.

patrick huffed, letting his friend go. as he was the one being pulled close, he curled up into pete's chest, falling right back to sleep.

"that's a good patty," pete mumbled, messing with patrick's hair as he himself started to fall asleep.
