Teacher - The guiding light to Truth

We all know that Teacher's Day is celebrated in India to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He was a teacher. Similar to him many teachers have crossed our life. When our life on earth begins, we have our parents as our first teacher.
As the saying goes "Mata pita guru daivam", In Malayalam all these words starts with an അ which is the first letter of the malayalam Alphabet.
Who is an ideal teacher? or who could be an ideal teacher? many might say that an ideal teacher is an asset to the school or similar educational organisation. I would say that an ideal teacher would be those who understand the child and motivates his abilities and dreams. He or she should have a good rapport with his teacher or else how can he express.
In an ancient society there was a picture of a teacher who stands with a stick in his hand. beat the students for their mistakes and make fun of them in front of the whole class for whatever wrong they do. Students fear teachers those days.
There are some kinds of defects we see for an ideal school. Neither has the students been able to express themselves nor had an identity of their own. Especially for those in the arts field. Since it is not there in the book or syllabus what you said is wrong it seems.
I could recollect those funny moments of my school days where there would be an interrogation in the class where the teacher would be expecting to recollect the recollect those taught in the previous classes. Those really studious would have answered all the questions and be sitting with a big pride on their faces. The rest would be getting punishment either out of the class or behind the classroom. According to the orders of the teacher either it would be an imposition or it would be "once u study u can sit in the class until then you can stand".
When years go by this way, when you reach 10th, 12th and all the chances of getting a PT period or a free period is a surprise apart from the regular surprise test the teacher keep, is a rare case. Even participation for Arts day competition are also a matter of question. Because you need to focus on your studies.
It is said by many teachers and parents that an ideal and a matured student never spend their life always with games instead sit and study. That is another case. If exams are round the corner, if your house has got strict parents, your probability of watching TV, films or chatting with friends in social media will be a big and enormous zero. Because your parents are expecting something good from you so that you can make your life settled and also helps you to study in college with comparatively less fees like those seats we get on merit.
But there are lot of good teachers around us. With lots of love and care. students would have a mentality to sit in her class. you would never mind to go for games because the way she takes class for you. It would be interesting and friendly. Not all teachers could be the same. They understand each student very well and often tries to have a personal contact with them. those teachers who have touched the heart and soul of the students. Such teachers will always be remembered. But in a funny way everyone used to remember their maths and science teachers who greedily grabbed all the PT hours and substitution hours.
Even though we say these things about our teachers there are millions and billions of people who have never seen school. It could be of two reasons. Firstly, it could be financially impossible Second, the simple reason of being a girl child. Even today there are many families where the girls aren't educated well enough and due to "over education" being cruel.
A school always should be a place for morals and values. But since school we learn to compete. Schools and other institutions only used to appreciate those students who secured the first,
