BE YE RECONCILED
Yea, I know you're good. But today, I bring to you that, "be he reconciled." It's very important that we are reconciled back to our first love.
Reconciliation is an act of coming together, coming to agreement, being with one another.
Is there anyway you've disagree with your friends or family? Today is the day of recommendation. Matthew 5:23-24 says "Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remembereth that thy brother hath ought against thee; leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." He said in Matthew 22:39 "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
Today, I bring it to you that you think deeply, search your heart and see if there is anyway you are wrong by hating or not in good terms with your friends or family, make it right today. Today is the day, do not wait for tomorrow.
I remember some years back, I was studying the book of Matthew when i came across it, Then when I was done, the question came to me, are you good with everyone? And I said yes of course. Then one of my best friend who I refused to call for years since I left work came to my mind. I refuse to accept that it was wrong for me to put him in mind. I pray to God for forgiveness and decide to call him. Immediately I called him and identify I am the one, he start apologizing to me, explaining how he lost all contacts and could not reach me. But meanwhile, I thought he does not care.
You see, we get something wrong at times, but until we come into agreement and take away that pride that we have in us. We will not be able to accept some errors and mistakes. Take away that pride today and do the needful.
I bring this to you also today according to 2Corinthians 5:18 "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;" we were lost to the world before but now God has reconciled us back to himself through his son Jesus Christ.
We were lost from the very first beginning when our fathers eat the apple in the garden. But now, God has reconciled us back to himself.
You've been hearing it for long that "come back to Jesus!" This is the right time. He love you according to Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." So, the ball is in your court. He has shown you his love, it left for you if you will accept the love. It's not by force but by choice.
I bring to you this morning to check yourself. Are you like the seven church in REVELATIONS 2? Check yourself. Think very well, if there is a way you've deviate from the ways of God. Though your light is still burning but if you are not careful, it might quench if you did not repent.
Today is the day of reconciliation! Repent from your wrong and old ways. Repent!
