Season 2
Chapter 16: Finally Confronting These Mixed Feelings!!

Lily glance up from her fiction novel when Dominic entered his study with a knock. He was carrying a tray with him which held their tea and biscuits for the evening.

Lily smile up at him and went back to her reading. Her eyes widened as the book was pluck out of her hands. She looks up at the 'thieve' who held it out of her reach.

She pout at the idea of not finishing up the book by today. Lily gave Dominic a confuse look at his playful expression. He looks like a predator about to snatch his prey.

"Domi-", Lily ask him, her voice sounded bemused. "Shhhhh", Dominic cuts her off in mid. He leans over the armchair almost covering Lily's body with his own.

"Um DoMi-nic wh-what are y-ou doing?"

Lily stutters out; her whole face turns red from the closeness. Dominic smirked down at her in amusement. His red lustful eyes follow her slightly parted red full lips.

He licks his own lips to moisture them. "What do you think babe, just kissing my girlfriend", he said in a deep husky tone. He slowly leans down farther.

Lily slightly squirm under him. Dominic stops just a few inches away from her face. Lily can feel her heart pounding against her chest.

Instead of pushing him away she closed her eyes. Her breath hitched in anticipation thinking how it will feel when their lips finally meet.

Instead she felt hands grabbing her shoulders and shaking them wildly. Her eyes snapped open to look at Dominic. "Lily, Lily, Lily wake up. It's time to get up".

His voice sounded feminine almost like her mom. Lily gasps out and shot up in a sitting position. She whips her head around finding herself in her room on her bed.

"Whoa! Calm down sweety, you're just dreaming!"

Lily's mom exclaimed out raising her hands to calm down her bemused daughter. She then coughed to catch Lily's attention. Lily squints at her and rub her eyes.

Mrs. Collins wriggle her eyebrows at Lily with a sly smile. "Sooo who's this Dominic? What was he doing, dear? you're mumbling his name in your sleep with a sweet smile".

"MOM!"

Lily yells out in embarrassment as her whole face burn up. Mrs. Collins laughs out and decided to be merciful to her teenage daughter just this once.

"Alright kiddo I will leave you be. But go fresh up then come down for breakfast. Today's Sunday doesn't mean you'll get to laze around in bed all day", Mrs. Collins warned her daughter.

She playfully swung around her spatula to emphasize her point. She then sauntered out of Lily's room. Lily sighs out and collapse on her bed.

She closed her eyes then snaps them open. She jumped out of the bed and hurried to the bathroom. She didn't wish to test her mom's patient.

Specially when today she's free to hangout with her daughter all day. At that thought, a pleasant smile slide up Lily's face. Lily sat down on the dinner table across from her mom.

Now she almost wants to ran up to her room to avoid the interrogation which she can see from a mile. She glance up at her mom in mid eating;

a sausage stuck out between her lips almost giving her a conical expression as her mom try to hold back her laughter. Mrs. Collins was staring openly at her daughter.

She's grinning like an excited teenager ready to gossip about the most popular guy of the school. "Sooo who's this boy my daughter mumbling about in her sleep".

Lily coughed and spluttered, the sausage end up dropping in the plate. Her hand move to grab the glass of water which her mother offer to her while laughing.

She slowly drink it to relieve her aching throat. Her eyes glistens with tears; she glare at her mom to drag this topic out of sudden at the dinning table.

"Moom, do you really have to ask this now? I want to eat in peace", Lily whines out weakly. "What, I'm just curious about my daughter's teenage life.

And I had noticed you had been daydreaming lately. Honey you know you can tell me anything. I won't judge you; I'm just worried for you", Mrs. Collins said in worry.

Lily saw the genuine worry in her mother's eyes. She knew her mom is very caring and an open minded parent. She can trust her with anything.

"Mom I'm just sooo confused. There's this...boy I used to like for a year. Last week he confessed to me in the park. I know I should be ecstatic about it".

Lily frowns at her own words which sounded rather dull to her own ears. "Let me guess you're not? Something must have changed for you to feel like this, am I right?"

Mrs. Collins suggested with a reassuring smile. Lily bite her lips gently but nod her head. She almost look guilty as if hiding something from her mother.

"Um I told you about that boy who transferred mid semester. He's actually like a best friend to me now after Beth. I actually went to his house many times in these months.

But I swear nothing had ever happened between us! We only read in his study that has a huge collection of books. I didn't tell you about this because I thought you would disapproved", Lily meekly finished.

She looked down at the table and started to draw circles with her finger. Mrs. Collins sighs out at her daughter's shyness. Lily has already expected to get earful scoldings.

"Lily, sweety I'm not angry at you. You know I will never doubt. You're my daughter and I trust you to make your decisions carefully.

I'll never stop you from befriending someone of opposite gender. I won't disapproved of that boy unless you invite him on a dinner at our house.

Besides I also want to meet this young man who manages to charm my shy introvert daughter", Mrs. Collins said smiling teasingly at Lily.

"MOM! Please don't say such embarrassing things. He's just a very good frieeeeend", Lily yells out covering her blushing face.

"What, I didn't say anything wrong, did I? Girls your age are bringing their boyfriends at home. Even your bestie Bethenny has a boyfriend.

And my friends at work are asking me if my daughter is seeing anyone. They wanted to introduce their sons to you but I told them you're just too shy", Mrs. Collins pointed out.

Lily only grumbled and continue to shove the rest of sausage in her mouth. She made funny faces but quickly compose herself at her mom's annoyed glare.

"Besides I just wanted to see this Dominic for my own contentment. Weather should I be concerned for your safety when you're with him?

Does he lives with his parents or by himself. Does he have any siblings? What his parents do for living?", Mrs. Collins fired questions after question.

Lily's mouth hung open at so many questions. Luckily she manages to finish her sausage without choking on it. "Mom, not so many questions at one time!

And he lives alone in an apartment complex. He told me he had an older brother and a younger sister. His father is a businessman.

He's always busy in handling business affairs of his company. His mother is a famous model and currently working overseas in France.

His older brother is currently studying business in XXXX University. And I'm not inviting him for dinner. You'll just assume things and embarrassed us".

Lily pouted at her mom and shook her head wildly to emphasize her point. Mrs. Collins chuckles at her daughter's childish behaviour.

"Aww come on dear I'll try not to do anything embarrassing. And I think you should take time thinking through this. Don't decide anything in rush.

It takes time to develop and nurture these feelings. It's alright if you're feeling confused right now. I am sure you'll figure out your feelings when time will be right".

With this Mrs. Collins decide to end the conversation and move on to their plans for the day. Lily smile to herself; she felt as if a weight has been lift up from her chest.

To be continued......
